Dany:"When will GRRM release the next book?
"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur. "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will release "The Winds of Winter", and not before."

Ah shit they switched Edric Storm with Gendry in the show.
More thoughts when I finish the episode.

Re: Game of Thrones
Another amazing episode. That last scene with Lord Baelish and Lord Varys was amazing. Unbelievable dialogue. I had goosebumps throughout.
Also the scene with Queen of Thorns and Lord Tywin was incredible as well.
Ros That caught me by surprise.
Seems like they have switched Edric Storm with Gendry. (For those that don't know about Edric Storm I recommend NOT googling it, as there are some major spoilers that come with that)
I do have one question though. At the end when Sansa was crying and looking out at that boat. Was that boat supposed to be Little Finger leaving for the Eyrie?

Fabulous dialogue in this episode and it sets things up nicely for the next one.
Also I loved the last scene, Jon and Yigrette proving Little Finger wrong

though i wish we saw tyrion telling sansa the good news

- maybe i missed it, but didn't he just get sent away by davos to save him? pretty sure he lived...
@messiah - i think that ship was loras... it wouldn't make any sense for it to be baelish, since she wasn't planning on going with him anyway. so i'm assuming loras had to go back to highgarden, presumably with cersei following after the wedding? i dunno, i didn't really get it either.

Re: Game of Thrones
The ship was Littlefinger's, if you check again the sails had his sigil on it (the mockingbird). Sansa was crying because that was her last chance to leave King's Landing.

Great episode. Lack of Daenerys and Margaery was indeed a sad thing, but next week Daenerys will probably ending up taking 30minutes of screen time
Think it's time we all worshipped the lord of light imo.

Re: Game of Thrones
Not as annoyed with them switching out Edric Storm with Gendry as I should be. Very surprised Melissandre was able to tell so much about Arya, but still didn't know exactly who she had in front of her. She does not see all apparently.
I saw Yunki in the opening credits so its safe to say that Dany will be getting significant time next weekend
Lady Olenna's tussle with Tywin was every bit as good as a heavyweight bout. Such an indomitable woman. Who wouldn't want her for a grandma
Why didn't they show Tyrion shattering Sansa's world?

Re: Game of Thrones
Unbelievable dialogues in this episode. Followed by great acting. Each character did justice to the lines they were given. Perfectly executed.
Starting from the John arc, How real did the climb up the wall looked ? Great work by the directors. Although John should have slayed that Warg who cut the rope. I do assume he will meet Sam somewhere in the next few episodes.
Scene with Lady Olenna and Tywin it was like watching xavi vs pirlo going head to head. 7 kingdoms united in the fear of Tywin Lannister
The end scene with Lord Baelish and Lord Varys :notbad: The episode's name was not only based on the John snow arc but on the dialogues of Baelish too
Finally. Arya and Melissandre scene. Melissandre genuinely looked scared when she was reading her eyes. I think she was referring to Cercei and Jeoffery when she said " blue eyes, green eyes bit" ?
PS: RIP, the informer of Varys.

No Dany/Jorah made up for with two of the best scenes of the entire series so far. 'Triffic stuff.

Re: Game of Thrones
I thought the Littlefinger's monologue about chaos being a ladder was awesome. The last scene was symbolic as fck, Littlerfinger says the climb is all there is but then we see Jon and Yigrette reach the top of the wall and embrace as they look down on the world
For me that symbolized that there is more to the climb than just the climb. There is always something on the other side worth striving for

I was thinking the same thing. It's not the first time they've implied something that seems will happen in twow or later.
Sometimes I can't help but read the posts by non-book readers in this thread and laugh... You guys have no idea
Did anyone else think the closing CGI looked really fake though? I was disappointed with the shot, it really pulled me out of the episode.

I thought the closing CGI was pretty fantastic. Almost LOTR-ish in scale.
