Re: Game of Thrones
What I meant to say is that Martin isn't very consistent and at times quite repetitive.
TBH Crows was actually shat and Dragons didn't really make up for it. If the last two books continue on like this and do a Wheel of Time the series will drop out of my top 3 (Behind Malazan & LotR) and once again Pratchett, Pullmann and Hobb will be tussling for third.

Wheel of Time
Put in hours if not days of my life only to stop halfway through book 10 and never pick it up again.

Re: Game of Thrones
I have read 33% of the first book and have found it spectacular. Even though i have watched the series, there are so much that were left out to make up for the limited show time and i these parts are amazing.
I also bow down to the series because they somehow managed to include almost every important and essential parts without drastic changes. The character portrayal is also amazing, each character being played exactly how they were meant to be

Also this video is soooo EPIC. Gives me goosebumps every time I watch it.
It's a review of Season 1 and a preview of Season 2.

Joffrey: "Everyone is mine to torment."
Wtf is that mysterious walker-like man strolling in the woods @0:18?!!
Khaleesi finally has an army.
Mance Rayder is finally in the series.
A dragon flying next to a ship....
Jorah: "There's a beast in every man, and it stirs when you put a sword in his hand."
FCK YEAHHH THAT TRAILER GETS ME ALL EXCITED

Ooooooooh it's almost here again ffs
MT there's so many plots on G.O.T your best bet would be to watch a few episodes from the beginning.

Medieval fantasy. Modric's favourite TV series btw.

Re: Game of Thrones
While season 1 was great, season 2 was kind of meh to be honest. Not book level.
Let's see how they do it with Storm of Swords which was probably my favourite book.

Disagree. I thought they adapted it really well. A lot of the plots in the book were tightened and they condensed some parts each arc (particularly Arya's) well to make the TV series work. I thought Arya's arc was a testament to excellent screenplay adaption. Worked perfectly .
Of course though... if you're looking for 100% authenticity to the book, S1 was better, but I think its folly to ever expect this from TV/Movie adaptions.
I thought the Dany/Qarth stuff was a bit weak, but I think she can only improve in Season 3 where she actually does interesting stuff.
