Btw, in the interview Romario says that his son will stay "6 months or one year with Barça B" so I understand it will be a trial...

So we have a trial with Romario's son... Lets hope he shines.

Considering we havn't heard anything from his son and he is 18 it is very likely he wont shine.

Some one made a thread in the General section that we are going to get Paco Alcacer from Valencia (apparently we already got two youngsters from them....any body know who they are?). I'm sure Paco and these other 2 guys would go to Barca B, anybody got any info on any of this?

Javi Martínez is rumoured to be Barcelona's choice for centre back.

I don't understand how the rumoured additions to Barcelona's back-line (Alba and Martínez) will solve their defensive problems. Don't get me wrong, Javi is one of the best young DM's I have seen but as a converted DM to CB, he isn't good at leading a back four, his ability to read the game as a centre back isn't up to standards and despite his height he is actually not a very good header of the ball, while for example someone like Koscielny has all these abilities. Had Alba been taller, he would have been a very welcome addition but the fact is that he is not tall at all.

We've also been rumored to Sakho which might be more to what you're liking. Apparently he simply can't work with Ancelotti, hates him to the core of him, and has requested a transfer out, so if such reports are to be believed Barca has more than a chance. When Tito had his press conference, the only two transfers he was asked about were Sakho and Alba, which makes me think there's some credence to the rumors.

Sakho is interesting... I dunno what to think of him. Looked like a beast a couple of years ago, but has struggled. Couldn't even make the French squad. Not worth a lot of money I feel, particularly because there are a number of questions over whether his style would fit well also. If we could get him pretty cheap, then I wouldn't mind.

Otherwise sure.. Koscielny and Vermaelen are two attractive options, but Arsenal would be very reluctant to sell. I feel they are both content to stay at Arsenal as well.

Rumours are that Muniesa and Fontas will be loaned and Bartra is favoured to stay as our 4th/5th centreback.

Not that surprised.

Muniesa seems stuck between various positions and needs to find himself. Fontas has been injured.

Bartra is probably the best mix of being ready, knowing his role and being suitable (mobile, good on the ball) to the team.

If he could tackle, he would actually be useful.

I find maybe Muniesa should stay at the B's for one more season if Barta is to be a choice for the official team. I understand that Fontas should go on loan as he needs to get more first tem regular in the top league and get use to the pace he needs to achieve every game in order to do well in Barca.

Sakho having an injury-infested season and his problem will lower his price tag but due to the same reasons, he is going to be a risky option.

I don't feel a club of Barcelona's stature should be in such a position to bargain for defenders. Last year you spent lots for offensive players I don't see why defensive players should be valued lower.

tbh, Vertonghen probably might not go to Spurs as they haven't qualified to Champions League. With harry gone, Modric on his way out and possibly even Bale, why would Vertonghen go there? We do have a chance of getting him here

Subotic would be fantastic IMO and actually obtainable unlike Hummels and good enough unlike Verm.

Sakho has had a very poor season and Vertonghen is too similar to Pique IMO.
