Anyway, Rios seems like this entire fight is too big for him..but could this be an act? I know he hasnt fought someone as big a name as Pacman but he is usually unrelenting in his arrogance. I remember when he mad run of Freddie Roche's disease...this Rios is completely different. Anyway, fight is coming soon if anyone wondered.

Khan was supposed to fight some scrub in december. That fight is cancelled for some reason.

They say because of Khan vs Mayweather in April. Although just rumours. It's said to be worth £200m that fight Shocked

Yeah, Khan was going to fight Devon Alexander. Alexander isn't exactly a scrub, but he's not someone you'd consider entertaining.

Mayweather-Khan is still unofficial but it's apparently tentatively set for May 3. I personally think Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions are waiting to see how the rest of the year and early 2014 plays out in the welterweight division.

I didn't know this thread existed. I'm a HUGE boxing fan and have always been since I was a child

Khan - Mayweather makes sense since Money just got a massive pay day in Canelo and doesn't need to rush to take a huge fight again. Khan could be used as a stepping stone as he waits for his next possible challenge (probably Swift Garcia)

Also, I've never liked Pac and really, really happy when Marquez floored his ass. Nothing would make me happier to see him laid out again (wouldn't put money on it tho, Rios is taylor made for him to beat)

Rios is tailor made for the old Pacman, this one....meh...Rios has a tough chin, never seen him hurt, loves tear up fights and hits hard.

Lacks skill and intelligence, which is what you need to actually beat Pacman but I reckon Rios gives me a decent fight if Pacman isnt something like his old self.

His attitude was bad and if you don't like each other I can understand Freddie getting wound up. It wasn't all his fault, sure Roach could have gone about it in a better manner but Garcia is at fault as well.

I feel the same way you do about Pacquiao vs. Rios....

Mayweather/TMT/Golden Boy are in no rush to confirm a Khan fight at this time because lots of other opportunities could present themselves that may be better opportunities. Khan based on performance doesn't deserve a shot at him but he's a draw which is why he's at the top of the mix at the moment.

If Pacquiao somehow looks amazing defeats Rios and great fashion, Bob Arum has already acknowledged he's willing to work to set up Mayweather - Pacquiao. Besides, Arum is truthfully in full cash-out mode on Pac because he's seen how his career is unfolding and what his (limited) future is. I also think Mayweather's team is looking to see if Broner can handle Marcos Maidana in a couple weeks. If something goes wrong and Broner gets knocked out for example, I think they'd take Maidana over Khan. Gives the chance for Floyd to fight someone with vaunted power (which will sell the fight) and he'd be a belt-holder at 147.
