Gervinho? As Samuel said on twitter. Wenger is in France, Gervinho announcing his move next week..

It seems very likely that Gervinho will sign for Arsenal after all.

Newcastle had a bid accepted but they are not in Europe so Gervinho has picked Afc.

The deal should be around £12m

thats exactly my thinking, gervinho is not good enough WENGER!!!, even on youtube he doesnt even look that good ffs. he just doesnt look clinical, by clinical i dont just mean finishing, i mean end product

look i mean look at this video, it just seems like everything he does has an element of luck about it. i hope im wrong though, and he turns out to be a fine dynamic player.

Pretty much all the problems described with Gervinho are the exact same problems with signing Eden Hazard. But of course, one is hyped to the moon and is the next best thing and therefore is exempt from these issues. Rolling Eyes

"He's too lightweight" has got to be one of the worst excuses not to sign a player. What do you think the likes of Fabregas, Nasri, Arshavin and Rosicky are? All lightweight players.

GoonerJay, thats the point really we dont want anymore lightweight players in a physical league. We just cant have a team full of players who are physically weak.

Then you ask why our players get injured all the time. Maybe they need to toughen up?

Which winger nowadays isn't lightweight?

Fabregas, Nasri and Arshavin have all done well in a physical league; Cesc especially.

You don't have to be physically strong or powerful, you just need good work ethic and stamina to keep up with the pace here in England. Even then, there are exceptions.
