By far the best signing of the summer in the EPL.
Aguero says hi.
I rate Mata higher as he has a better football brain, passing, vision along with big game presence, and doesn't rely only on speed like Aguero
Plus Aguero was overpriced compared to Mata who has his price justified.

Impossible. La Liga players are rubbish ... Especially at English soil.Arquitecto wrote:Gil wrote:Why do people think he's overrated?
Gil,
He isn't even close to being overrated.
A lot of haters here that envy this signing (including me).
If anything he is underrated.
If anything, you underrate him yourself.
Mata will be an INSTANT success here and that I can guarantee.
By far the best signing of the summer in the EPL.
Btw Arquitecto, how did a fine gentleman like thyself get warned?

Most here think Mata is over priced. Great signing of course but Aguero still a better singing for me.

Ah Senor.... I myself wonder to this day.
I'm guessing I made a stereotype on Portuguese people which some Mod did not really appreciate. (Must be portuguese).

So Mata went for a fee, just under, of Young and Valencia combined
He is better than Valencia and Young

Unfortunately for Sepi, he himself hasn't gotten over Torres.

Its not so bad for Arsenal if we get Hazard instead, which is looking like it could quite possibly happen.
I think that overall, hes a better player than Mata.

Is Wenger going to spend 30+M on Hazard? cause that's the only way you will sign him.

Well I'm basing my statement on the fact that almost every media outlet is reporting the story.
Wenger said hes willing to spend 30-40 million on a player, and to be honest I believe him.
It would make a lot of sense too, since Hazard's style of play suits Arsenal.

wenger spending 30-40m on a single player? lol
what kind of news outlet is it? because the same story can go around coming from the daily mail, but it doesnt mean anything...
I also read that Wenger is thinking about asking for Kaka on loan

Re: Juan Mata Close to Chelsea Move
Mata could be the player Chelsea need to get Torres going. His running in behind Torres or out on the wing should help create space and chances. I'd say Chelsea probably still need someone like Modric to spread the play, though.

Re: Juan Mata Close to Chelsea Move
I cannot believe it, I am so happy right now. As for formations, I see two possibles.
The defence wil stay the same.
cech
ivanovic-Luiz-Terry-Cole
If we play with Lampard it will be.
ramires-Mikel-Lampard
Sturridge-Torres-Mata
If Lampard is dropped.
Mikel-Ramires
Sturridge-Mata-Malouda
Torres.
They are the only two possible ways we will play.

FFP FTW!!!
He'll end up being less expansive than Young based on wages+fee per year.
I thank you!

Why not, now is his chance and I believe AVB will give it to him, he is better than Anelka and Kalouless anyway.

Mata and Sturridge are our best wingers, hence they will play.
