Is Juan Mata Chelsea's "Aguero"?
Was he the missing piece of the Chelsea puzzle?
Think about it, a player of his calibre playing for Chelsea will do following:
1: Attracting more fans
2: Help achieving trophies
3: More going to watch man city play
4: Lifting the clubs appeal
He can be Chelsea's Zola or messi or ronaldo.
I think they went from pretenders to contenders with this signing, just remember City before
the Arabas not far from Chelsea before Abramovich.
This is not a kneejerk reaction because of the Norwich game, I thought about this the second he joined Chelsea
The Norwich match just confirmed some of it imo.

Could a player get any more over-rated after one game against relegation candidates?

U have to choose Gil, if you are using my aguero thread to hide your actual fondness of mata behind a massive wall of sarcasm, or if you agree that it will be a knee jerk to praise him so soon.

Mata looked impressive but chelsea team play was 5hit tonight.Infact Norwitch made more one on one untill the penalty goal i think.Dont even want to talk about torres, his lose in form is just unbelievable.

Ofc he is lol, they desperately need a playmaker.......
Mikel-Ramires-Lampard is too slow and predictable but Mata is the missing piece of the forward puzzle to go alongside Torres/Drogba's Son and Sturridge....

Torres should be benched for lukaku imo, lukakau atleast can lead the line with his body.
Re: Is Juan Mata Chelsea's "Aguero"?
Lukaku is a real handful but his first touch let him down on a few occasions. Really needs to improve that aspect of his game.

Tbf Torres first touch has'nt exactly been great for the last couple of years. So that's not really a reason for him not to start.

Torres' first touch has always been piss poor to be fair. Very inconsistent part of his game.

It's unbelievable how more 'rated' players become once they move to the EPL...

Irony considering the amount of Fabregas threads there have been on this forum in the past week.
Same player Barca fans/Madrid fanboys were wondering why Barcelona were so eager to buy.

There was a lot more concern about Barcelona needing him than his quality as a player.

I am still wondering considering Barca are forced to play Mascherano and Abidal as CB's atm and played Keita as DM last night....
Cant deny it though the hype players get when they come to EPL and perform is insane.......
Suarez, Torres, Alonso, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Silva etc etc are all fine examples of this not saying they are not the great players but the extra hype they get when they came to EPL is insane to be honest.

all the mentioned have done more than well (can´t forget torres the first two seasons for pool) in EPL and are among the best players atm (expect torres in his current form for chelsea)

Re: Is Juan Mata Chelsea's "Aguero"?
Torres, Yaya, Aguero, Silva were always rated highly in England waaaay before they came to the PL.
It's only natural they'll get more attention considering they're (usually) moving to "bigger" clubs.
