this is the level he plays at week in and week out and shouldnt be a problem to beat

We have a lot of players in the first team that can use some minutes.

Jese is just getting used to the Adelante, it's not like he is dominating them all already.

I disagree dude, i watched the past couple of games, and although he is finally getting used to the pace of Segunda, I wouldnt say that he "dominates" them

He has utterly destroyed teams in the last 3 games and the main reason why we have won the last 3 after having a pretty poor start. He has settled in now and going past players for fun.

He only just came back dude. But he is still playing well. It's just that he is being played on the wing lately because Jese is our only good wide player.

Moratower will probably hit good form at some point, then you'll hear more about him again.

Whoa nelly! lol, friendly fire, friendly fire! I was kidding bud.. Saw Jese in pre-season, he is a remarkable talent.. Our current group is just so amazing at the moment, I doubt he will be able to make a permanent step up to the first team. I mean is he even better than Vanilla Ice at the moment? ... IMO no.

Made the step up to Castilla and become an invaluable member of the team in no time at all - Check
Continues form at international level - Check
Played well in pre-season - Check

I don't think it would take much for him to make the step up especially with the calibre of players he would be playing with, just needs trust and confidence imo

It was harsh of me to compare him for a place in the squad only with Callejon... Actually, he is more likely to compete with Ronaldo for that LW position where you drift central. Now I know this sounds worse but it actually isn't.

If you think of it, Benz and Higgy are vying for CF, they have that position on lock down.

Of the 3 pronged attack, on the right side we have Di Maria and Callejon predominantly duking it out for rotation there.

There is no direct squad rotation competition for Ronaldo on the left side unless you push Benz wide left or bump Marcelo up to the attack.

So here's the theory. We all know CR7 wants to play every goddamn game of the season, because he is an outstanding professional, but this is unfeasible. He needs to rest for at least 8-10 games a season to keep him fresh.

How many games does Jese Rodriguez need in his debut season? about 8-10. He then is the perfect rotation player for the LW position. So I would say to Mou to trust Jese enough enough to not push Benz wide left or get Di Maria to swop wings when CR7 is unavailable- just drop Mr Rodriguez in the mix.

My only concern is that this could frustrate Callejon, he is getting so few chances as it is; and if CR7 is unable to play, how is Callejon going to take it that he still has to sit on the bench while a Castilla gets the nod. Jese's first task is to prove he is better than Vanilla Ice, which I still maintain he is not.... YET.

Apparently after a good Euros teams wanted Jese, however the club said no since he signed a contract last year and his buy out clause is 40m. In the segunda he'll be a better player and the following season Mourinho wants him in the first team squad. He might also go on the U.S. tour.
