What is the cause of Guardiola's success?
Laporta: "I would like to thank Italy, if Guardiola had never gone there then he would have never learned as much about tactics before coming here" (paraphrased)
Clearly, Italy is behind Guardiola's success. Amirite? They keep on producing the best managers...

The cause of Guardiolas success?
Xaviesta + Messi + couple hundred million war chest. Not even Steve McClaren could suck with that squad.

Re: What is the cause of Guardiola's success?
While it may be his tutelage from Italia, the simple fact of the reason is Guardiola won because.........
He is guardiola and as much as haters try to take that away from him, its because of his intelligence, vision, adeptness and leadership that Barca has won all that they won.
Funny that RM fans are talking about Barca and UEFA considering all the times Mou has gotten lucky FAR many times then Guardiola. Hilarious.

Not talking about luck, I'm talking about how he has gotten away with instances in a match worse then the semi final classico controversy.
His hypocrisy is laughable.

Same could be said for Mou at Porto and at Inter aswell he had decisions go his way( and iam not talking about Barca he had decisions go his way against Chelsea and in the group stage which led to them qualifying)
And probably every great coach in history, seriously stfu and stop bringing it up.
They were lucky we get it

If Porto didn't bribe the refs Mourinho wouldn't have won the champion's league with Porto and he probably wouldn't have been at fake madrid or chelski. The Madrid One wrote:if ovrebo would have penalized pique for the handball barca would have never won the cl,super cup, or cwc.

what a punishment, atleast they got no CL footballPorto decided not to appeal against the decision made by the disciplinary commission of the Professional Portuguese Football League because they were comfortably ahead in the league table and the six points would not affect their final position,

This forum is starting to suck, a honest question and what could of been a well thought out discussion turns in to immediate pointing of instances of "luck", UEFA conspiracies, cheating and "wouldn't of won if" instead of giving any form of praise to a very successful manger or even discussing the topic itself

If Overbo wasn't stupid enough give Abidal a red card for Anelka dive there would have been no Pique handball incident in the first place.

Re: What is the cause of Guardiola's success?
alright, lucks, conspiracies and cheatings aside, how is he successful then? It must be benefitting from the players, because there are quite a talented ones in barca. But in the end, dosent every successful manager benefit some part from the players? Pep isint known as tactical genius now is he?windkick wrote:This forum is starting to suck, a honest question and what could of been a well thought out discussion turns in to immediate pointing of instances of "luck", UEFA conspiracies, cheating and "wouldn't of won if" instead of giving any form of praise to a very successful manger or even discussing the topic itself

Re: What is the cause of Guardiola's success?
Any half decent manager could do well with Barcelona. Plus Guardiola's transfers have been terrible at many time, but because he's at Barcelona he gets away with it. He won't at any other club...
