N'gog is a decent player who could become good if given the playing time and chance. He could be a good option to fill out a rather depleted strike force.

I would put NOTHING past either Pardew or Assley. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if we dig up some bargain-bin players and throw them out on the field and what is left of that 35mill from Carroll just simply disappears over the first half of next season.

I approve of Colo as captain. A lot of people have been suggesting that Barton was a better choice, but I think those people are forgetting the point of a captain. Barton is too mean, he'd end up getting us in more trouble then he'd save us from.

I already have several orange shirts... also, I can't help it if Liverpool's away kit was so class I got it immediately rather than waiting to see how Newcastle's were.

I figured you guys would just go with yellow again.

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/07/10/erdinc-deal-stalls-meaning-united-must-turn-elsewhere-79310-29025760/

Erdinc deal is off, NUFC look to other targets.

  • Focus on 1 of 3 targets, one presumed to be Shane Long and other's are from La Liga and Ligue 1, NUFC hope they can sign one before thier Tour of America in 6 days time.

Barnetta will only be signed, if Barton leaves which is considered unlikely.

Blaise Matiudi is considered as Nolan's replacement, he idea had been to pair Matuidi with Cheick Tiote in a steely midfield combo which would have allowed time and space for Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa to create for a lone front man.

Alan Pardew was keen also to bring Charles Nā€™Zogbia back to Newcastle, but the deal appears not to have suited Unitedā€™s hierarchy.

So it look's like they are going with Barton on the right with Tiote and Matuidi in the middle alongside Cabaye with Ben Arfa on the left supporting the lone CF.

I would rather them sign N'Zogbia than an extra midfielder tbh and go like this but meh.....

Barton-Tiote-Cabaye

N'Zogbia-CF-Ben Arfa
