Nolan has rejected a new contract and Barton wont be offered one. Barton's replacement has already been take care of but Nolan is a worry i dont want our english spine to be completely ripped apart.
So Nolan will probably be offered a better contract?
If he lowers his demands probably but there is noway to know at this moment. It seem's like he wants a 5 year contract and the club are not willing to go that far.

Hopefully Nolan and management are smart enough to meet in the middle. I know five years can be long, but he's 28. It is not like he is 35 and asking for five years.

Porbably trying putting pressure on Ashley to lower the asking price . I would bet my house that Ashley wont let someone valuable like Enrique leave on free transfer .

Probably. Ashley is probably up to no good, and it seems all a decent chunk of our players want to jump ship. I wonder if Pardew has anything with that.BeautifulGame wrote:Sepi wrote:Times says Enrique will stay in Newcastle and leave on a bosman next season

To be honest from an outsider point of view selling Barton and buying a decent young midfielder like Cabaye makes sense IMO . Particularly if u are not going to buy target man striker like Carroll Barton,s effectiveness is reduced to a large extent .
Nolan i agree shouldnt be let go but Enrique he has no choice .

In tomorrow's Sunday Sun: more exciting #nufc transfer news from @MsiDouglas & excellent feature on the drain of North East players to #LFC
Just tweeted by Matt McKenzie from the Sunday Sun if the excited transfer news is as exciting as he says i will post here aswell as the feature on North East players to LFC.
Someone just posted this on Newcastle-online.org forum
Well for the price of a Henderson, we have got a:
Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba*, Gosling, Best, Simpson, Williamson.
With around £5m left to stick on black.
*If he does sign.

I think it means he's going to do an editorial type piece on North East players moving to LFC like Carroll , Henderson etc etc but yes it may have some Enrique news aswell.

Re: Newcastle United FC
Mole & other NUFC fans, hello there.
Guys, do you think your club (owner) has any clear vision!!! The way I see it, a club of your stature (mid-table) can have three directions:
1. Being a selling club. For that you need to buy young talents (in addition to a youth system), keep for few (2-3 years) and sell for a profit. You don't do that.
2. Just survive. Even for that you need to keep upgrading the squad. Some of the teams got young talents who can lift their position. So even without new owners, you can be push down.
3. Gradual rise.

I would say its a mixture of 1 and 3.
We are doing what number 1 says we are buying young, talented player's from across europe and then selling them on when they get older for a profit.
It's just atm the cycle has just started so none of those young players are really wanted by the big teams or the club is just not being offered the money required for it. There alot of talented quality youngsters coming through the youth system whether they are born and bred geordies or europeans recruited in at a young age with Haris Vuckic being on top of that list.
As for the gradual rise we do have the ambition to get back to where we were under Sir Bobby but it's going to be a very slow process as we dont have the capital or influence to make quick progress.
But iam positive we will make progress, how ever steady it maybe. due to the fact we buy young, talented players now instead of overpaid, over the hill primadonnas and that is due mainly to the scouting network head up Graham Carr which is spread throughout europe we especially have a big network in France, Spain, Holland and Germany.
Due to this we have bought very smartly ever since Ashley took over the club who is a fan of the Arsenal model which is probably a sign of the different the way transfer's are run at the club.
for example if you look at the signings:
Enrique 5M, Ben Arfa 5M, Tiote 3.5M, Cabaye 4.5 just for example with many other players like Gosling, Williamson, Simpson, Best, Gutierrez, Nolan and Barton for next to nothing.
As for this season the owner want's us the use the Carroll cash to springboard our selves to top 8 and a cup run and if the Cabaye signing is a sign of things to come i dont see no reason why that is'nt possible.

Not really Newcastle news, but I guess Shearer news can be classified as Newcastle news.
Looks like he might succeed Dave Jones, as Cardiff boss.

The only doubt i have of that strategy is having Pardew as coach . Do you think he really Pardew capable of implementing that at Newcastle . I am not sure of that .

Surely this is madness ? Selling a midfielder who scored 12 goals last .
Newcastle will be in big trouble if all there overseas players dont adopt straightaway . Could easily be dragged into relegation fight .
