Rafinha

According to Mazinho (their father/agent), Thiago wants to play for Spain while Rafinha's dream is to play for Brazil!


So the Question is, what is better for both players, playing for Spain? or Brazil? Isn't it better if they played for same NT? Thiago is proving himself, Rafinha turned 18 few month ago, he is just proven on youth level, next season he will playing for Barca B, which could help him to improve more & more!

Note: According to Thiago himself & Mazinho, Rafinha is even better than Thiago.. honestly i can't judghe him, i saw some matches for him including U-10 Final vsReal, but this is @ youth level, we have to wait & see what he can do @ B team ( he played 5 matches, in his debut scored a goal, made an assist) & first team! he was unlucky this summer, he got called for Spain U-19, in trainings he got injured (same for Espinosa) & becuz of injury he couldn't make Barca's preseason!!

Let's wait & see!

Del Bosque will definitely give Thiago some minutes in this game to book him forever for Spain and thereby show a thumbs down to Brazil.

BTW the scheduling of these international friendlies is terrible. The super cups have gained importance in recent years. It's one of the official season trophies even if the smallest one. I don't think it's right to have these friendly games in such a way that the teams playing the super cup match are adversely affected in terms of personnel.

It was announced today that FC Barcelona B’s player Rafael Alcántara do Nascimento, also known as ‘Rafinha,’ who is first team player Thiago’s brother and also son of Brazil ’94 World Cup winning legend Mazinho, will be renewing his contract with the Catalan club until the 2013/14 season.

His new buy-out clause will be 12 million Euros in the 2012/13 season and will increase to 30 million in the 2013/14 season.

The contract signing will take place on Monday, around mid-day Barcelona time.
