Arsenal being competitive? Top kek! I'm sure arsenal will compete for the donkey cup as is. They don't got what takes to win the donkey premier league. They should worry more about the mighty spurs (joke team btw) finishing ahead of them on the table than worry about the league title.
I'd say liverpool should have the league title but the last couple of years have been disappointing. Beating guardiola is of no real accomplishment but that clown has had such a stranglehold of the mule league that perhaps i am overestimating liverpool's prowess. The rest of the donkeys i wont even the time of day.
Mule on donkeys!

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I think a big percussor is that Arsenal fans are clueless and I hoped they would understand better after their last year, but it just seems like they don't or don't want to.
City can still hit 97 points from now unbeaten after, while assuming City playing at Anfield and winning. So as a Liverpool fan, the league would be won at around 88 for me. I personally do not think Liverpool have what it takes, and I don't think even the smartest Arsenal fan would have even calculated that because they are still so immature that they try to take a game at a time. The league is lost the moment ManC goes on top.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
City go on top its indeed over simply because City do face Arsenal at Manchester and there is not a chance Arsenal will win. They win they will speak about it for years like that Arshavin goal that won them versus Barça or the usual wins they speak about which end up to no result because they have little to remember. Even the way the goals are celebrated while iconic are just as if they’ve won the league. Certified bums fuck me

@Nishankly that's meticulous thinking, and it may very well turn out that way, but in life there is always deviations and surprises every now and then, and therefore there is always hope!

^^social media is owned by the kids of today, many kids just jump onto the winning team bandwagon like how 90s kids jumped on Man Utd...
i honestly will never understand the obsession with Madrid and Barca fandom because where i come from most people watch mainly the PL and support English clubs

Lol, i guess that’s because you must live in a sheltered part of the world. In most if not all spanish speaking parts of the world, they support either RMad or Barca.

Bloke believes in his donkey team. I can respect that.
Shame about arteta though. If he couldn't best liverpool or even newcastle, they got their work cut out for them this season. Every draw or defeat will restore arsenal back to their place in the world: a 4th place finish if they're lucky. Silly mule got mugged by the great david MoYeS of all coaches recently. Grim.
Almost forgot someone here mentioned this league being the goat league? Didn't know donkeys can pass for goats these days. I must be out of the ecological loop

so basically Spain and Central and South America...
still don't think that's enough to make the numbers so high though
i'm from Namibia... you will find the occasional Barca and Real fan in Africa, but it's mostly a GOAT league dominated continent. And usually a Barca and Real fan in Africa also supports a GOAT league team

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Moyes isn't meant for big clubs even if we have a sample size of just one big club. His tactics and approach to the game suits mid-table at best and saying he didn't get a fair shake is naive given he succeeded right after SAF, which was the hardest thing to do within post Sir Alex United from any year of his departure.

But I do rate him highly and he is also a very likeable person not just as a coach. Will always casually root for whatever team he takes the helm for.

the man mugged farsa when he was in spain and unlike ten hag, he has european success even if its conference league. I'd say #MoYeSBACK. Besides, manutd IS mid. He'd be back right home.
Then again i like seeing manutd in the mud. MoYeS could bring them out of the mud and into the stable. Donkeys belong in the mud imo.
Re: Premier League 2023/24
we are such a fucking boring and inconsistent watch, play well against Villa...few days later look completely disinterested against a shit Forest. Genuinely the most bored I've ever been following the club. Don't care if we're shit make it worth watching games ffs.

That was not at all a jab at you nor was any previous posts, just saying if it felt that way, every post has been addressing general attitude. I don't know about social media but people I follow and Liverpool fans around are very calm.
There is always hope but the teams that have beaten City (Leicester, Liverpool) have created their own hope in a way that the City fans for that year pray for hope.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I think one of the problems is that Arsenal are not going to get any better this season based on squad. They could sign a striker, that would help them a lot but beyond that only Timber improves them, and he improves a situation that does not need any improvement.
Whereas, Liverpool can get back Robertson, Mac, Thiago, Jota etc, that's 4 players improving them across all aspects while City will get back KDB and Haaland. Beyond this, if these two teams strengthen in January, it just pushes the bar even further.
Liverpool is the only team for now who has put forward losing multiple key players across positions and still having a good enough squad to pull through. Arsenal across 2 years have never faced it, City barely have but they dropped points this season with their kids starting.

oh my god Liverpool fans love make a big deal about their injuries... who cares, we have Timber, Partey and Tomiyasu out. All valuable squad players.
and Timber definitely improves a position that needs improving because fuck Zinchenko

we could also have easily rocked up to Anfield with a defensive pivot of Partey and Rice, and not have conceded

Mctominay = useless
Onana = useless, please make a fecking save for once
we were looking like we would nick it before we conceded a pathetic goal again

So what was first to be believed to have been a steal eventually turns out to be a burden; Zinchenko, Jesus
Man City not only know how to recruit but also know when to get rid of players
