What a game

Celtas subs absolutely changed this game. Barca players defended so weak. Where are all their midfielders? None of them covered themselves in glory today.

Oh and Vini absolutely broke Mingueza, Galan tore him apart today. Could've been more of it weren't for the dissallowed goals too

Memphis is terrible, when the going gets tough, you can never count on him. Fati is their whole attack even if all he does is score, without him they have nothing in the opposition third

Sad for Fati as I love watching this kid play but happy to see Barça's comical failures game after game. They're officially the new Arsenal.

Forget about CL. They'd be in relegation fight in EPL.

Looks like we wont this season. Not even Europa at this rate. So financially its a disaster, I actually dont mind football wise if we take a break from CL since we dont have the squad to compete in it n would prolly get raped again, but big loss income wise means our situation will continue if not get worst...

For this game, Sergi made some mistakes, although Im not sure, why Araujo for Garcia at HT, and Puig for Nico on 60th, and then ABDE or whoever this was on 80th lol... Fati was injured but the others no idea.

Second half Celta just woke up and we never coped. First half from what I can tell we were just more clinical and had Fati vs second where we had nothing up front, so Celta just really didnt need to defend n could just focus on attacking n pressing us.

Depay is so overrated though, I dont get why he still gets praise n his honey moon period is over, judgement should be out, and not saying hes been bad, but hes another one of good enough for us, well in normal circumstances Razz

At the moment hes our ONLY striker, who rarely scores... at least 10 times better than Luuk Razz

Depay is a good player... not elite and not poor. He is definitely not a superstar. Not sure why people thought he would be.

That said, this draw had nothing to do with the forwards. Midfield and defense was comical for Barca in the 2nd half.

My question is whether Xavi will actually bench Busquets because he deserves benching.

There is no communication between the defenders and goalkeeper at Barca. It's like they don't trust their goalie to save a shot so they just clear every ball that gets to the box. It inviteas even more pressure to their slow midfield and error prone defenders

Barca couldn't mount a single attack in the last 5-10 mins and had difficulties sticking rhe ball up top because they had no focal point up top. It was like it was every man for himself. Very very poor. They have noone they can trust when they are up against a wall

We never can defend, not prior to Pep days, not during or after Pep days, its not in our DNA, we cant defend deep especially for long periods, something we gonna have to do way more now that we cant keep ball as good as before n with no focus point up front. Its even stated in our DNA - defend by keeping possession Razz

So its true we just dont know how to defend.

I imagine it will be the same with Xavi, so the key will be how well we keep possession n keep opponents from attacking us non stop like this second half.

Sevilla won their derby, same record as Madrid. Lopetequi repeatedly demonstrating what a raw deal he got at Madrid. La Real also holding strong, with one more point but played an extra game.

I don't think Lopetegui can manage a squad with superstar egos Bill. He's like Emery. They need to manage teams with players that aren't so ego-driven.

Agreed, Lopetegui is a good coach but for those teams where the pressure isn't as high

What superstar egos did he had to deal with? Ronaldo was gone. Ramos was a huge supporter given his NT experiences. Kroos, Modric and Benz have never given any indication of large egos. Who else is left? Marcelo - yah maybe, Bale - sure, but he’s a problem for all coaches and Isco - he had his problems but not with Lopetequi. He was counted by Lope to be a team leader and what did he do, he went off the deep end with media for their criticism of NT at WC and then he got appendicitis, came back too soon and has never been the same player since. I just don’t see how you are saying he can’t handle large egos.

He got off to a bad start, no worse by the way than Zidane. He didn’t have any say in acquisitions, two players (Bale and Isco) severely let club down. So all in all, I say he was dismissed too soon. Bottom line to me is he didn’t have a big name like Zidane, Mourinho, Ancelotti, even Benitez and therefore no clout with Perez.
