Well, pre-seaon banter wasn't exactly kind to Madrid but I personally saw nothing naysayer esque about it.

Also, not even ten games in, the season is very much at its infancy but I'm thoroughly happy to see someone finally beat Atleti.

The only issue i see with madrid is the back 4 (specially CB partnership) but there are not many teams in la liga who can genuinely cause problems. Attack is too good for it to matter.

CL will be the real test.

Finally atletico lost its been coming hopefully they keep up the poor form, for a couple more games to get a decent advantage, maybe 12pt lead by December, the squad can be rotated more for league games, keep the key players fresh and fit for a CL run.

I think the cb pairing will be much better in the second half of the season, the main concern is jovic imo if he can get going as a proper second scorer which he can, since the team is slow going more cf focus, the chances of winning CL will be increase by alot.

The way Villareal played was pathetic. they had no intention to come forward. Although passing the ball in their own half to tire our strikers out was a good tactic lol.

We can't press high up properly and Emery knew that. so they just kept passing the ball in their own half.

Our players look confused not knowing what to do when opponent has the ball.

After reporting losses of €481m (£416m/$558m) earlier this year, Barca have seen their spending power reduced considerably.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have the highest salary limit in La Liga by some distance.

The club has seen its available money increased to almost €740m (€639m/$858m) for this term, up from just under €470m (€406m/$545m) last season.

Real Madrid's budget has increased due to player sales, as well as keeping hold of the vast transfer fee that the club had been prepared to spend to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer.

In total, Barcelona have the seventh-largest budget in La Liga, behind Real Madrid, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao.
