Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
goal.com:
After reporting losses of €481m (£416m/$558m) earlier this year, Barca have seen their spending power reduced considerably.
The club had previously been able to spend €347m (£300m/$403m) last season but is now limited to just under €98m (£85m/$114m).
That massive reduction was behind the club's decision to sell Antoine Griezmann and was also part of what made it impossible for Barca to re-sign Lionel Messi this summer.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have the highest salary limit in La Liga by some distance.
The club has seen its available money increased to almost €740m (€639m/$858m) for this term, up from just under €470m (€406m/$545m) last season.
Real Madrid's budget has increased due to player sales, as well as keeping hold of the vast transfer fee that the club had been prepared to spend to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer.
In total, Barcelona have the seventh-largest budget in La Liga, behind Real Madrid, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao.

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
Koeman listening to critics finally, in comes Gavi, Nico, Coutinho, Mingueza.
Atletico with an interesting lineup also, Felix, Suarez, De Paul, Lemar... pls I hope Suarez dont score vs us
Have 0 confidence that we can score vs them... n hope they dont bully us physically, we got virtually 0 physicality in this team bar like 3 players...
Another loss would be welcome, Laporta will be forced to sack Koeman sooner hopefully otherwise he risks fans tuning on him too

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
Barca are not bad offensively, but they don't take their chances.
Defensively, they are just awful. Get sliced open very easily, and Atletico basically scored with 2 out of only three attacks they made all game.
I am not sure how a coach can fix that.
Also, Suarez assisting and scoring these goals is just a testament to the idiocy of Barca's board over the past few years.

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
Miss Suarez, have kind of finishing is just complete coolness n clinical.
Lemar n Felix finally showing their worth, they craving us apart at will. The space between Mingueza n Araujo is so huge n we struggle to plug it no surprise there.
Gavi been literally invisible, I basically didnt see him in this game, it was like 10v11 Ter Stegen continues his poor form... constantly beaten 1v1 atm. I guess when the whole team is down ur form gets affected as well.
Cool, Atletico arent even playing anywhere near their best and still leading us by 2 goals, n as expected we have 0 threat attacking. Hope they score more so Laporta can finally let Koeman go after this?

Actually we are bad offensively, what makes u think otherwise? Sure we dont have much finishing abilities now, but we also dont create much. The last goals we scored were like pens n Araujo headers from corners
N there is so much a coach can do to improve a defense ftw, thats like one of the primary jobs of a good coach XD Sure Barca traditionally just dont have this in their DNA, but its no excuse for Koeman to be so poor at it.

Funny how Atleitco fans not reacting to Simones hype there, they dont feel excited at all about beating us since we offer no threat
Opponent fans already treating us like a mid-low table team

Whether they are at their peak or banter era, one thing that never changes is Barca fans overhyping La Masia scrubs.

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
So the instantly better gotten Barca,
1. Are ninth in la Liga
2. Are bottom of the ucl group with 0 points
3. Have scored 11 and conceded 13 goals this season so far.
My question is why we didn't get rid of Messi earlier.

Re: The Official LaLiga Thread
stop taking it out on one @alexjanosik sentence though
it's not as if the notion of getting rid of Messi automatically included replacing him with Luuk De Jong and forcing the rest of the team to live on bread and water
that's not on @alexjanosik, that's on your club
moving on from Messi was a necessity that would have arisen any moment now anyway
relegation form club management wasn't

Pretty high I'd say. Its two games away, even if we lose both vs Kiev and Valencia I don't believe Laporta has a successor lined up

Even if Laporta has noone lined up right now he will need someone for the clasico in case you lose because i think that game is the one that'll really cause uproar amongst the Barca supporters
