I gotta say, I never would've thought PSG would lose its league crown any time soon. Kudos to Lille for doing it because it's definitely not easy.

It's kind of par for the course with Garcia. As a OM fan who is used to garbage managers... he fit right in with us lol.

As the resident non-bias Ligue 1 watcher, decided to try to resume viewing and I have a lot of regrets about this but if I make it to December, I deserve an award.

Lyon vs Brest was boring, just a boring match. Troyes vs PSG was just a bit better though Troyes really did put in a valiant effort and despite the 1st half assist, Mbappe was kinda not as functional as I would have liked but I guess he is carrying that form over from the Euros.

All in all, La Liga is safe from any Ligue 1 advances when Messi signs for PSG.

A lot of very late arrivals or absentees with the better teams Doc. Everyone is playing with very short squads (especially PSG). Re Mbappe... he just arrived last week. His issue imo was form first and foremost with no preseason... and that he wants to play fast while Icardi and Draxler just have no speed. So he looked like he was often caught between a rock and a hard place.

Navas and Hakimi were easily the best players. Wijnaldum played apparently.

Ninja update: Metz Lille was an entertaining affair, made up for yesterday's matches that I view. Metz would have definitely won but that red card by Kouyate really messed up things.

No time for the Marseille game so I'll leave that one out.

OM is really fun to watch this year Doc... they just attack with no conscience lol. Most of their games so far have been wild scoring afffairs. Mostly a mess; but a fun mess.

He's been the biggest waste of talent in recent memory for me.  The French Cassano...  he's literally one of the most skilled players in the world.  He's been 20kg heavy since Euro 2016 though.  This is the first time he looks fit... must be a contract year.

Easy there. Messi isn't expected to play until the Reims game on the 29th I think. Or maybe even after the International break in September.

Ligue 1 season has already started. Next game for PSG is on Saturday v Strasbourg.

Vive Ligue 1 is all I gotta say. I jumped on this ship long ago and I love it like my cafe au lait.
