Very much not planning on following Ligue 1, but will occasionally troll when drinking. Like tonight.

Here's my list of interesting things to keep an eye on in Ligue 1 this season:

My body is ready. Only unbias reporting of the league of the WORLD CHAMPIONS. Please ignore whatever certain Frenchmen say. Obviously I didn't watch the Monaco Lyon match as I am at work but I assume Lyon was fraudulently good. Hope they get relegated this season tbh.

HT and I miss Neymar already. Sarabia obviously ain't Neymar but neither is Mbappe and it shows. Cavani, as always, would miss you a sitter or two in a match. Nimes, well, some better quality up front and they would have easily gotten an equaliser. But their decent attacking 3rd threats are just that, decent.

I expect PSG to score more but whatever Tuchel is trying to accomplish, I wish him luck without Neymar.

Not only that but i was having a look at their bench, and it's atrocious

Their entire squad is full of average players. Feels like a failed project. Specially if Neymar leaves. Mbappe will soon want to go too.

The Neymar and Mbappe transfers put them in FFP trouble, it's hard to tell whether they cannot spend money on better players right now or is the sheikh over this project.

5 minutes to go but this is a done match. Again, despite assisting and in fact scoring, Mbappe is not Neymar and it still showed in the 2nd half. PSG simply had more quality over Nimes but I wonder how this would do against a more able team and no, that team isn't Lyon. They are frauds regardless.

Not a bad match per se as it was definitely better than Arsenal Newcastle this morning and whatever horse shit Madrid played today but....no Neymar, no party.

When a player named Jean Lucas, a guy with 2 first names, can score in a match, I can't help but solidify my belief Lyon are frauds of the highest order. Saw like the last 30 minutes, ez win tbh.

Niang. Fking Niang just equalised for Rennes vs PSG. It was not even a shit goal, it was a lovely hold up, turn and shot in the bottom corner. I love this league.

Almost HT and once again, no Neymar, no damn party. Mbappe won't or can't provide the same spark, skill or creativity that Neymar provided at all. He shouldn't have to tbh, he's a striker, a world class one at that. Rennes, besides that dreadful mistake were good and the equaliser was deserved imo.

All in all, a good match. Far better than the horseshit that was Chelsea vs Leceister.

Yeah Neymar not being out there clearly allows teams like Rennes to be a bit more adventurous vs PSG. Neymar was a terrifying presence for opposing teams, they would just say back deeper and be more careful about getting out. Him not being out there makes PSG more predictable and a bit easier to defend

PSG losing to Rennes isn't as shocking as I probably would have thought this same time last year. They didn't do anything to really earn the win tbh. And Veratti getting outplayed by the likes of Grenier, Camavinga and some lad named Castillo is stuff of pure banter. Send this lad back to Serie A plz.

PSG getting Dybala has now gone into overdrive. Also, Sarabia >>>>> Di Maria and Draxler.
