Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
The problem with WWE is they can't look beyond Reigns and Lesnar. They have elevated both of them to such a high level that they can't find anyone dethroning them. Rest of the roster have become subservients to Reigns and Lesnar.
This shit will continue as long as both are under contract with WWE because Vince can't see anyone past these two guys.
Is this like the 4th WM main event between the two? Embarrassing tbh.

I genuinely find both Lesnar and Reigns entertaining, the storytelling is good too. It's just a shame they can't seem to put that sort of effort into the rest of the show.

Of course they're good. It's just that as you said, there's nothing interesting in WWE besides the two and that's WWE's fault for turning both of them into demigods making the rest look completely irrelevant or insignificant.
In Vince's head, he probably wants someone with a similar physique and athleticism to overthrow Reigns/Lesnar. Maybe they'll poach Wardlow from AEW if he blows up idk
Vince just can't look beyond big, muscular guys.

Lesnar and Reigns have only had 7 matches together which include 4 singles, 2 triple threats and 1 fatal four way. At Wrestlemania, they fought:
WM 2015. Reigns vs Lesnar (vs Rollins). Reigns was pushed as mega-babyface and bombed against unstoppable Lesnar. They had to put the title on Rollins instead.
WM 2018. Mega-babyface push Reigns vs unstoppable Lesnar part II.
WM 2022. Heel, unstoppable Reigns vs somewhat babyface Lesnar with Heyman in the middle.
So its actually not that bad and certainly not as overplayed as Cena-Orton.
The problem is no-one else is close to their level or have any interesting storylines. Rollins has gone backwards. Mcintyre and Lashley should be just as big but aren't. Big E is just a joke. Edge is old.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Rollins hasn't gone backwards, he's probably more interesting now than he ever has been.
His character is genuinely entertaining and fresh, which you can't say about most of the roster.
What you're saying applies to the majority of the roster sans Lesnar and Reigns but i don't agree that it applies with Rollins.

Honestly I'm a fan of Reigns, Lesnar, and Rousey. So I don't mind the show being built around them.

Aye but it's like watching Barcelona with Messi and everyone geared to work for him lol.
Womens division is less of an issue, at least the likes of Becky, Sasha, Bayley, Bianca actually feel like big deals within the division.
In the mens division it's basically if you aren't involved with Reigns or Lesnar you don't matter.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I dont think you guys get that its based on marketability.
Reigns and Lesnar are miles more marketable than their counterparts as yes its the writer's lack of talent to which dont exactly make those rivals marketable but its simply banking on the image of the two mention wrestlers.

Unpopular opinion but I think Danielson's stint in AEW has been better than Punk. Both in terms of wrestling and storytelling. Outstanding promo once again.
I am already hooked to this feud(or potentially an alliance). Intrigued to see what's gonna happen next. We've already seen Mox be a part of a similar angle with Jericho. Would be ultimate swerve if Mox joins hands with Danielson.
Punk-MJF feud on the other hand is in the process of fizzling out. People are way more interested in Wardlow's eventual turn than a continuation of this feud but I guess it's needed to enhance the storytelling for Wardlow's babyface moment.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
yea they way the Punk - MJF match went down was kinda weird... the Wardlow interference was expected, but they could have done it with Wardlow taking one or the other out and costing the other the match due to DQ, or even better take both out and the match ends in a draw. And then run a triple threat feud off of that for the short term future.

They should run a major storyline with this. Let them build an alliance, get CM Punk on board, then have a super feud against the elite.

on the wwe website if you pay for premium, do they have the Chris Benoit matches in pay-per-views such as Wrestlemania 20?

there's a jump-to segment for that match, but the thumbnail only shows HHH and HBK... so i'm trying to ponder how would they even delete Benoit from the video footage of the match

Nope. I have a WWE network subscription through a 3rd party app. I watched Royal Rumble 04 and WM20 a couple of days ago.
They haven't deleted any of the episodes or content involving Benoit.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I just read the news. At first I thought it was a work but I'm pretty surprised by this. Looks like a money issue. I wonder what role he's going to have in WWE?
More of a backstage role given that he was reasonably successful with AEW?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
He probably asked for CM Punk level money.
I think if he goes to WWE it is because they assured him he’ll be a main event player and get a title run.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
He's hardly that big of a draw. His last run in WWE was awful.
I'd be pretty surprised if WWE see him as a main event star and someone who can draw ratings.
Given how he's transitioned to an executive role with AEW while wrestling part-time, I would imagine he'd have a similar sort of role with WWE but could be wrong.

Sony LIV have a multi-year agreement with WWE to stream their content for Indian viewers. It was really cheap. It was like $4 for an entire year.
I guess you need a VPN to access this.
I have been watching a lot of Raw episodes between 2004-2006.

I dunno why people are assuming he's going back.
I got the impression he's just done in Wrestling tbh.
