I went back to transfermarkt to check what was the ungodly amount of money that Barca spent Coutinho and Dembele in order to waste 3-0 leads against Roma and Liverpool in the CL. It's even worse than I remembered, not only did they drop 270m on Coutinho and Dembele, this was a whole transfer season:

Why do I keep forgetting about certain things like Deulofeu was brought back and they spent actual money on Mina?

i definitely would not have wanted barca ajax; not only did they beat us in the span of a couple of days, but it will lead to a ton of poorly written articles about how they've been building this final/achievement since cruyff and how this was all some total football masterplan that was envisioned in 1974; even though both teams at present are vastly different in their ideas and style

hope liverpool wins whoever they play. ajax deserve to be knocked out for embarrassing us the way they did, especially as i didn't even rate them at all before we played them

there's enough blame to go around, i've spent most of the season blaming us and rightly so, but i can reserve something for ajax. its a no brainer, support the team that knocked out the rivals over the team that beat us (if they do beat spurs). i'm not so mad at ajax though cos on the other hand, if we won, the desire for changes in the summer may not have been a priority....

The fun making is deserved. I think giving away a 3 goal lead to Henderson, Milner, Origi, Shakira tops everything even PSG has done.

It's not the end of the world though, CL was never Barca's competition. We only won our 2nd CL trophy one and a half decades ago. I accept it and move on. Copa del Rey is our forte.

Cruijff came back to change a lot in the early 2010s. In 2013 he said he expects us to reach the CL final in the next 6 years. Deal with it

A lot of Real fans have been waiting too long to get back at us for dominating them for so long, so its understandable, and we still do Like said above, we are still miles ahead of them h2h and in the league in recent years.

I just watched some of clips of Liverpool after the game, which I couldnt last night, and remember the old days being a supporter And reading some articles reading about them, reminding of their history, and than Klopp's press with them, it really is admirable. Although I have to say its really different compared to say 10 or 20 years ago, I remember Man U were dominating and quite a lot of ppl hated Liverpool back then lol.
