Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Lol everyone has their own dumbasses in politics, the ruling party in poland just voted to invest 2 billion into state TV/media instead of cancer treatment lol
And the reason is because they push propaganda down people's throats in state media in order to win elections. Sheeple of course believe, dumb catholics.

If only people had not been saying that would be the case for years...

It took us 4 years to leave EU after the referendum which was in 2016...
And i will be surprised if it takes 12 months. Would be 2 years probably.

Nope. Not quite yet.
And it's not "fuckers", but British brothers and sisters.

Brexit: Japan tells UK to agree to trade terms in six weeks or face disruption
Like some countries with EU trade deals, Japan has declined to simply roll over its existing agreement for the UK after Brexit and has instead reopened talks, potentially extracting further concessions from the UK.

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Of course they did. The EU used it's collective power to get really beneficial trade deals for the Union, you aren't going to get the same deals as a unilateral actor. Everybody knows this. Brexiters just lied about it.

I don't want any concessions towards them. They chose their way, I respect their democratical decision so be it. The consequences are their issues, I don't have anything against Brits in personal sense.
Farewell and good luck!

This is pretty interesting. Turns out, after Brexit was won and the tabloids stopped posting about immigration 24/7 the UK public no longer cares about immigration at all. Interesting case study into the power of media to shape the public mind.

Cool turn in Brexit: The UK government looking to pass domestic laws to alter the already-agreed-upon withdrawal agreement with the EU. Sounds to me a lot like No Deal.

"Trade talks are over. The EU have effectively ended them by saying they do not want to change their negotiating position."
The UK and EU had been hoping for a "zero-tariff" agreement to govern their trading relationship once the UK's post-Brexit transition period ends on 31 December.
If no deal is reached, they will operate on World Trade Organization rules, meaning tariffs are imposed.
What happens if there's no trade deal?
The UK would have to trade with the EU on WTO rules - at least, initially.
In this scenario, the EU would impose its tariffs on imported UK goods.
The average EU tariff is pretty low (about 2.8% for non-agricultural products) but in some sectors tariffs can be quite high.
Cars would be taxed at 10% with some agricultural tariffs higher still - rising to an average of more than 35% for dairy products.
This would have a big impact on UK businesses selling their goods to the EU.

Well, UK is dependent on imports from the Mainland for food and basic needs. I thought they'd clear tha up before the exit but oh well..

UK travellers could be barred from entering the EU from 1 January as travel rules associated with being part of the EU expire and pandemic restrictions block entry.
Bye guys

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Looking a lot like No Deal, which is kinda astonishing for how stupid that would be. But who knows, these deadlines for a deal keep getting pushed time and time again.

I think the "deadline" will keep getting pushed until a deal is reached, even if that takes months

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Boris is really out of his depth there. The system is totally broken if people like him and Trump can get elected so easily.
He looks like someone who would ask you to let him roll back the trolley outside of Tesco if it meant he could take the £1 out and keep it.
It's sad that men of this mold are changing the course of history for entire nations.

Don't think, don't see it extended past the 31st. A lot of post brexit preparations have already been rolled out.
They just reached a key point of understanding that makes a deal at least possible, or lay the ground work for a post brexit EU-UK relations in January at the minimum.
The UK kind of screwed everyone recently with the internal market bill, now they have pulled back a bit and things at least have a sliver of hope. May be too late for a deal though.

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
Both parties know that a bad deal is worse than a no deal. So either there is a good agreement between both or it's a no deal
Johnsons says that it's a strong possibility there will be no deal but that might just be scare tactics

Quite funny he does not take time to comb after waking up, he's the goddamn prime minister. When the hairs grow in random directions that's what happen. I know exactly his struggle thankfully my job allows to not bother
He should buzzcut every 3 months or so, for credibility's sake.

Re: Brexit: Should the UK stay or go?
It's his trademark, just like Trump being orange. They know they look ridiculous, but they're recognizable.
I remember reading a journalist's account of Boris actually having been caught with decent hair at home, once or twice, and they apparently saw him go to a mirror, and mess up his own hair so he looked like an idiot, before he answered the door.
