Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Yeah I've been lurking on the Cyberpunk game subreddit and mainly it's cancer and prickly assholes barking all over the place. I heard they want to start a petition to make the game 3rd person instead of FPS lol
Those people are absolute melts imo. I genuinely cringe reading through these comments.
Also I agree that it's most likely too soon to show any gameplay,\ since there's a long way to go still until the release but I would kill for a glimpse of it tbh

Those type of people are why you aren't seeing game play tbh.
It's a shame but it is what it is.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Everyone was blown away by it
Jeff Gerstmann from Giant Bomb said it's been the first demo at E3 since Star Wars 1313 which left the feeling of people were willing to steal invites to see it
Which upset me because it reminded me that game got cancelled

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
-Trash and debris interact with wind
-The trauma team hovercraft kicked up cans and bags as it landed.
-Destructible environments on the road, you can knock over trash cans and bags and they’ll spill trash onto the street.
-tons of dynamic ai in the streets. This includes homeless asking for money, cops investigating crime scenes, and murder/crime in the alleys.
-fat people on rascals can show up as enemies. I’m not even joking, during the beginning house raid V shoots one in his chair causing it to spark and spin out.
-Dynamic weather, rain, storms, even acid rain.
-melee build is completely feasible. There is parrying mechanics for swords, and there are katanas.
-there was tons of destruction. Walls got torn up, cover chipped away. Pillars crumbled after immense fire. There wasn’t any cloth discus but the detail in the world was great. Very lovely sub surface scattering effects, tons on population density (almost hitman levels). Didn’t really see too much tech on hair and I have a sneaking suspicion it’s because it’s not optimized yet. I’m just amazed at no load times and the view distance. It’s insane, no wonder they wanted to show this game off during the day.
-enemies can be scanned for weaknesses with an eye upgrade.
-there were no loading screens in-game, V takes an elevator from an apartment down to the city, and you can view the city through the elevator as you slowly reach the ground floor.
-similar to Dishonored in terms of stealth & combat with some very, very light titanfall mechanics. The dev is constantly sliding around into cover and running on walls.
- cool and dynamic, like a living breathing world, there were police knocking on apartment doors, bustling market places with smoke filling up the air, homeless in the streets and boxers fighting training bots. The world felt very alive and the population density looked very impressive.
-most likely you can attack random NPCs/pull them out of cars GTA style, which wasn't the case in Witcher, but there will be consequences.
-Insane, buildings are very close to each other and seemingly they all have elevators to enter from. There’s tons of market places, bars, hookah shops that the player just enters and exits from the back to get through an area.
-Some enemies can “hack into you” and tell if your lying. You can use scanners to assess situations, and it seems many of the dialogue affects gameplay, ie carrying a body outside or having a partner do it. Escalating a situation or trying to play it cool. It seemed very similar to the Witcher in that sense, but with some more choices.
- Looks like a lot of the game seems centered around being a nerd, but it looks like you can choose to work for certain people, so here’s hoping you can side with the police. The work you were doing in the beginning already seemed like some police work, your just operating outside of the law a bit since your a merc.
-Cover kinda works live the far cry peeking system.
-You can drive multiple cars and bikes. The car you drive in the demo is actually your partners and not yours.
Also it seems that the demo might be shown to the public at Gamescom.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Eveything i've read about this game implies to me it's going to be way smoother and faster than the Witcher was.
I mean it makes sense because the type of the game it is but the talk of double jump, wall running, sliding into cover and under cars and being able to jump at any time during combat or out of combat.
Seems to imply it's going to be a really fast paced game, my only concerns will be how responsive it feels and if the shooting feels good but obviously we won't know the answers to those questions until people play it.

Can’t hate on that. I just want to know if I can romance inanimate objects in this one.

This is really good, interview with the inventor of the Cyberpunk 2020 pen and paper RPG 2077 is based on.
Gives some background on some stuff like the world, classes etc etc you might not be aware of ( i wasn't)

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for at least six years and its team recently hit a major milestone: The entire game is playable from start to finish. It doesn't have all of the proper assets, playtesting or bug fixes in place, but seeing the story come together is a critical step in the development process, Borzymowski said.
The Gamescom demo for Cyberpunk 2077 is nearly identical to the one shown at E3 two months prior, but it features a few important changes. First, it introduces a new weapon, a katana capable of emitting a magnetic field that deflects bullets, and it highlights the game's character-selection screens. Players will be able to pick their gender, appearance and backstory right from the beginning, filling in details about traumatic events in their past and other personal tidbits.
And then there's the final scene of the new demo, which shows Night City at, well, night -- something CD Projekt Red has avoided until now. The Gamescom trailer ends with a new vision of Night City. Under an inky black sky, a dense, towering skyline is illuminated by a thousand neon signs in traditional Blade Runner fashion.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I'm torn after watching that.
The coolest thing was the different approaches to the quests. I feel like a lot of games advertise choice but ultimately force you into the same situations regardless, whereas Cyberpunk seems to have genuine choices.
On the other hand, the writing was awful. Obviously it's only a short amount of gameplay, but if the characters weren't swearing every other word they were throwing out exposition about something.
I'm indifferent to the combat. Looks like standard gun play.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Yea i agree with that.
Some of those dialogues were straight cringe. Like trying way too hard to be edgy.
Combat is basically COD combat but more clunky.
