Closing it before the season starts makes complete sense. Clubs know where everyone stands before the season begins, and don't have to deal with players refusing to play or being distracted because of ongoing deals.

The only problem is that England are the only ones closing it that early while the rest of Europe will have three more weeks to sign their players. Could leave clubs unable to sign a replacement.

I think it's great England do the right thing. I hope everyone else will follow.

Hysaj is quite reliable but yes he isn't world class. 44 millions is a pure joke he won't be a pillar for any team

Does not offer much offensively, he is mostly a defensive full back, not much better than Darmian. Would have taken him for a decent price. Worse than prime Licht and better than De Sciglio.

oh yeah..Mendy from the illustrious Monaco side that had Bakayoko looking like a superstar.

Not convinced he will be great for City when he returns from injury next season TBH.

Not convinced Hysaj is who we will sign either but tbh we need a RB and I can't think of many out there so I'd welcome him even if he is average, Valencia is pushing 40 ffs. He offered nothing this season when he played. Well past it.

He was brilliant for City before he got injured lol. Maybe his injury effects him going forward but let's not act like he wasn't looking like the best LB in the league before he went down.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino wants more transfer funds available this summer and will part with five first-team players in order to generate extra income, according to the Mirror .

The Spurs boss wants club chairman Daniel Levy to back him with a relaxed wage budget and more money in order to attract higher quality players to the team.

Inter are reportedly interested in signing Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Serie A side are wanting to improve their options in midfield and have apparently targeted the Dutchman as a summer transfer target.

Strootman only signed a new long-term contract with Roma in 2017 although it does include a €32 million (£28m) buyout clause that Inter are willing to pay.

[Romano] Kwadwo Asamoah is new Inter player. He'll leave Juventus and sign new contract with Inter until June 2021. Asamoah is having medicals now in Milano and will be announced soon by Inter. The next one will be Lautaro Martinez
