Re: The Bundesliga Thread 17/18
I know it is off season, but the transfer craziness has started. I was really hoping bayern would not win it this season.
Bayern had not finished raping Hoff, they had to piss on their victim, to finish off the crime. They take back the late great Sandro Wagner (I wanna say he never scored for bayern?). The only good thing I can see from this, is that Bayern will maybe loan him to Werder. Speaking of late greats, Super Mario is back at VfB.
Kicker finally get something right, naming Christian Streich as 'Man of the year". Seriously, in these days of unfounded, stupidly worshiping any manager who wins a game, or no, gives a good interview and jumps up and down on the sideline like he was bitten by a monkey, Streich is a manager I actually have respect for.

I'm a true, proper United fan. The United Way stands for how it should be done. Tradition. Honest Work. 4-4-2. Get it wide and cross it. Pace and power.
Love it. Biggest club in the world.
And how are you?

And dont forget the thieving Portuguese fisherman as the manager.
And how are you?
It is damn cold here on the Iceberg, but I just got back from Cuba, where I landed and hung out with a bunch of people from Colonia (Koln). Which was boring as hell for my wife, who speaks very little german and Kolner's dont seem to speak english, rather surprisingly (all germans speak engllish!). So she sat and listened patiently as we got drunk daily and tried to remember the name of the new Koln manager.
What was funny is how they had to bring their Kolsch with them, which is so very Kolnisch. Here you are in a place where every hotel gives you unlimited free beer, weak beer yes, but free and it is hot out, so light beer is not so bad, not to mention rum is the poison of choice. As you probably know they bring their kolsch with them everywhere, even the little glasses sometime and then they put that Kolnisch wasser on everything, weirdos!
But yeah all is good, gonna detox for a week. By the way, has that girl/woman who was in love with Yan Sommer ever come back?
Too much champagne, Hansie boy!!!

ffs
you're living the life
last time around you went binge drinking in the Dominican Republic IIRC
Only vacation I went last year was cycling through Poland and the Baltics. And I only was drunk twice during that, however the second time was horrific as we almost got into a fight with Celtic fans in Riga. Basically it was just exhausting.
Better choice would have been to just hang out in some Turkish 5 star resort deserted due to politics and thus dirt cheap, drinking vodka tonic, eating buffet and bowling all day.
I can confirm I have deep rooted suspicion and prejudice about people from Köln. These rheinische Frohnaturen can go *bleep* themselves as far as I am concerned. They're lunatics, and their Kölsch rituals are bizarre, and I say this as a native Franconian where every village has its brewery. The thought of drinking beer from glasses smaller than 0.5l seems offensive to me, even though I can't deny it's got its own kind of style.
Part of my family's from the Rheinland though. So a part of me should be a rheinische Frohnatur too even though I can't find it. Wherever it was, it's now buried beneath capital city misery.
Generally speaking, why are all inhabitants of German big cities OTHER than Berlin, i.e. Hamburg, Köln, München, Frankfurt, ALL so goddamn self-confident and content?
Don't they know their cities are shit? Why are we miserable? It's because they're all filthy rich compared to us, of course.
And RWO_Power is still gone. Honestly, I think she's.. well.. gone for good. It's the internet, I know, but with her I think sadly something happened to her.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread 17/18
Bayer going with the two young heartthrobs of the Bundesliga-Bailey and Havertz- I guess that is a good sign that they are staying? Bayern rolling out the old wheelchair players-Ribery and Robben. Oddly Kimmich on the bench and not sure where Lewandowski is, oh yeah they dont need him anymore, they got Wagner.

Lewandowski has a slight injury as has Hummels. Kimmich not fit either.
Even without Lewa, Wagner on the bench..

Bayer look juiced for this game, they better be careful before they go down to 10 men. Dont get me wrong, i like the determination and Hamish with those golden boots deserves those fouls, but still, gotta be careful.

Funnily, and contrary to public perception, it now looks like Robben has declined more than Ribéry.

One of those 'Business as Usual" kind of wins for the shoe slappers. Heiko needs to spend more time with his team practicing defending corners.
