Why don't you like Fury? I think he's a decent bloke, battling depression and some of the baddest dudes on the planet at the same time.
Curious as to how the fight pans out, don't normally watch boxing but this fight seems interesting.

Just depends how Fury is after those massive issues..you couldn't gauge it in that last fight.
Prime Fury would absolutely trash Wilder though. Joshua too.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
because he talks a lot of shit. he comes from the traveller community like me and also BJS. we have a bad reputation as it is and rightly so for some of the trouble our people have caused over the years and these guys as world famous fighters and had a great chance to to show us in a far better light and they failed. not all of us from the traveller community are bad people but i have to admit we have a big problem in some areas. these guys had a world stage to show the good in us and they made us look 10 times worst.Myesyats wrote:Why don't you like Fury? Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Fury just absolutely schooled Wilder. Yet almost got flatlined in the final round, jesus. Barring ridiculous judging, he's won.
He should beat Joshua too IMO.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
This is ridiculous
How can there be a 9 point swing from how judges scored this fight
They’re just trying to get a rematch.
Canelo vs GGG all over again

Yep. Only ones that scored the fight for Wilder were hardcore fanboys. It's complete horseshit lol.
Just want that rematch money.

I barely think Wilder won any round other than the 2 10-8s
Absolutely stunned. No way you can give him that. Boxing is so corrupt...

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
He didn't. Before that huge knockdown (insane recovery from Fury) he was down 10 rounds to 1 for almost everyone lol. Why I can't get invested into the spot. Watch the JoeRoganExperience with Teddy Atlas (legendary trainer, promoter) goes in depth on the politics and corruption in the sport.

Oh I don’t need to be convinced about corruption in boxing.
We’ve had so much boxing corruption in Denmark. Still remember the Mike Tysov vs Brian Nielsen fight. Seemed like Tyson was paid off to not hit him until the 6th round.

There’s so just much incentive to protect these fucking undefeated records.
I hate that shit. Does nothing good for the sport. Especially since 90% of all wins are stat pads to improve those damn records.

It was a good fight and they got the call in to make it a draw to make more money on a rematch. Also both fighters remain undefeated.
Monetary logic only.
Sports wise there’s no logic

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
After the first GGG-Canelo match,
I was not surprised this was drawn.
Fury outboxed him for basically 10-12 rounds and of course these paltry judges let knockdowns sway what was a complete schooling of Wilder, the result.
Rest assured Tyson Fury has inspired more than we may admit with his comeback from hell to teaching one of the best heavyweights in the world, a lesson in the sport, getting up from what was an utterly ridiculous knockout in the fashion of the obvious WWE wrestler, and displaying some magnificent sportsmanship right after paired with Deontay that warmed all hearts.
AJ next please.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
If Wilder leaves himself as predictable and open and last night Joshua will finish him imo. Guy has no defense and the most predictable helicopter swings.
Fury got too cocky in the round he first knocked down which cost him.
Would’ve wanted the Fury/Joshua unification bout... guess we’ll have to wait more now.

He's an utter pleb, only English people who've followed his career from the beginning can truly understand what a *bleep* of a person he is.
Not to mention he punches himself.

RIP Markus Beyer
The first boxing match i ever saw was involving him, he won and it was a robbery, yet i still fell in love with this sport. Very sad to die at only 47 years old.

Adrian "I did it for the hood" Broner
No words to describe how dumb he is
Jacobs vs Canelo is going to be interesting. I think a lot of people are underrating jacobs, he is a fighter who is constantly improving. That inside fighting is gonna be a problem for Canelo.
