He's going to be a massive flop.
The sooner Vince realizes that Indians are cheap and that they won't be adding anything to his pockets, the better.

Not every match has to be a fast paced spot fest involving a 100 different moves, flips, false finishes and a 'this is awesome' chant. If Austin was wrestling today smarks would no doubt be complaining about his in ring ability lol. 'All he does is punch and kick' etc etc.
Austin was one of the best wrestlers in the world. He was awesome at psychology and a top technical wrestler. Shows you know nothing about AE.

M99 lol, pre-neck injury Austin was an amazing worker. Literally nobody would criticize him.

Yeah no, Jinder dreams of being on Orton's level on the mic. Actually Orton's level on anything.
I'll be sold on Jinder if he is halfway on Orton's level.

He's a great wrestler, but smarks nowadays would hate his style imo. Haven't seen much of him before 1997, but in the Attitude era (his prime) he was an out and out brawler. His moveset was pretty basic. Punch, kick, Lou thesz press, stomp a mudhole, Stunner. He had great psychology, but like I said if he was around today smarks would say he doesn't do enough moves or spots.

If his matches were as entertaining as they were then they wouldn't, honestly MT your viewpoint of how smarks see things is of something that doesn't really exist.
I mean Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho are adored by smarks and it's not for their in ring performances. How you describe smarks is something i have never come across.

They'd like his character, sure, but I'm talking strictly ringwork here. If he's an up and coming star, they certainly wouldn't be saying that he's a great worker or anything like they do with Zayn, Owens, Cesaro etc. He'd be rated at Cena/Orton level at best imo.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
How about Miz then? Smarks love him more than most work rate guys.
I just think people respect people who are legitimately great, Austin probably wouldn't be as loved but it's not because of smarks.
It's because and Austin has said this himself, he wouldn't have the freedom to be allowed to be as great as he was.
Smarks love Cena as well, the whole John Cena sucks song is todays You Suck. Sure they hated him at one point, but that was because superman booking just isn't fun, i hated it too and i stopped watching for like a decade because of it.
I don't deny their were probably people who were work rate smarks, but today i don't think they are. At least people who watch WWE anyway, most people respect character and mic work a lot higher than wrestling ability.
If they didn't then, Ambrose wouldn't be so loved by the casual audience. Neville got a lot more love from most people when he started to develop his character and mic skills compared to before when he was just a spot monkey and nobody cared.
I mean look how popular Enzo n Cass are lol, i could go on and on really.

Yeh I'm not saying he wouldn't be capable of having good matches. Reigns, Lesnar, Goldberg, Cena, Orton etc, guys who smarks don't rate highly in terms of ringwork have all had good matches.
It's his actual style of wrestling they'd have an issue with. Or they'd just be indifferent. They certainly wouldn't rate him on the same level as say Styles, Nakamura or Owens when it comes to in ring ability.

They'll like Austin's character like they do with Broken Matt, Bray, Ambrose, Jericho, Enzo etc and that'll make up for him not being the type of worker that they consider great. But imo that doesn't mean they won't judge his in ring work at some point. Ambrose and Enzo get called out all the time. Bray is considered average. Cena and Reigns regularly have good matches, but people still find a reason to criticise their ringwork.
There's a specific style that they consider great nowadays. Styles, Zayn, Rollins and Owens use that style.

Nakamura just casually does his dance moves while everybody else stands in the ring and watches.

Jinder not even in the main event lol. As the WWE champion he should be opening and closing the show imo.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Have you not been paying attention? , pretty much every week including the night he won No 1 contender he's been in the opening hour and Styles/Owens closed the show.
He might be the champion but their treatment of the build says how they truly feel, they have positioned the US title feud above it nearly every single week.
Hell some weeks Ziggler and Nakamura was pushed more.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Although I don't blame them much for this week going off twitter, seems like the whole show is being built around the money in the bank match.
So that's fine imo, to use an example the KOTR build was almost always pushed harder than the WWF title match.

This is Orton's best mic work in his 15 year odd career? Lol ! That is above average, I have always liked Orton, but he can't be in 3rd gear all the time! He has to step up or take the Jericho role !

Who do you think is winning it? i was thinking AJ considering Mahal's the champion so it rule out a heel winner but that would assume that the winner would cash in quickly.
Could give it to Nakamura and have him cash it in before WM though.

Think Nakamura will win it and then cash it in before the Japanese tour. Or Cash it in over there.

Jinder's celebration was good but that entire foreign thing is just Rusev #2. Wish they don't go that route.
I hope i am wrong but it's almost like they are preparing him for Cena's return lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Corbyn is IMO gonna be heavy favorite & the only who needs it! Can't see anyone else, Nakamura & AJ can anyways get a shot, suits a heel Corbin if they want to give him a run!
But who knows this is Vince so it could be Nakamura or AJ !

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Yeh his gimmick is definitely a generic foreign heel. But they seem to be using his culture a lot more than they did with Rusev.
Either way it's better than him being regular old Jinder Mahal with no character.

Wonder if Nakamura would be better off as a heel. Basically do the rockstar gimmick but in a cocky show off manner with attitude.
