Ronaldo isn't winning another Balond'or. He thought he was punishing us by leaving but he only shot himself in the foot.

This is obviously just speculation, but I imagine he saw the need for a change of pace as he was getting older and less explosive. Italy is the second best thing to the US or Asia in that regard, as the football played there is comparatively more slow paced. The pay is also better, and he avoided the «retirement tag» by opting to stay with a European, top club.

Another alternative would have been PSG, who were reportedly interested in him at the time, but I think that move would’ve caused a lot of complications. Not to mention, he would be compared to much younger talents, the likes of Mbappe or Neymar. I don’t know about him wanting to punish us. It might be true for all I know, but that sounds like some typical, tabloid claim

Ronaldo has repeatedly said that he feels he can stay ar the top until he is 40yrs. He famously went on his first Juve medical and had less body fat than a 23 year old athlete. Don't know about the change of pace scenario. He still gets pissed when he is subbed off.

He could go through a poor first half of season at RM and still be top two and even winning the Balond'or. Now he gets passed by lesser players. He obviously wanted to stick it to uncle Flo hence why he went to another European rival playing in a league where he could pad his stats and who before him went to the final several times. The move has backfired for him so far. He is still our legend but knowing how competitive he is, when it's all said and done Messi will finish with more Balond'or than him when he could've ran away with them

You've changed 3 coaches since he left and have won nothing, whereas he's already won two titles in Italy, so yeah if he did want to punish you that's mission accomplished.

But we all know his move didn't have anything to do to punish Real Madrid. If anything he made you a tonne of money with the transfer.

We have been a team in transition and only now starting to get used to playing without Ronaldo. I don't think a single Madrid fan thought we'd win a trophy last season. Yes we changed coaches but we managed to get back our most successful coach in many years which is the biggest win in this whole ordeal. Ronaldo doesn't care about winning trophies, he didn't even celebrate our CL win. He cares more about individual awards and he won't even be remembered as fondly as Messi. When he played for us Ronaldo was the one on everyone's lips now even VVD finishes ahead of him on the podium nobody is bigger than our club which Perez proved when he showed Ronaldo the door and nearly Ramos. Ronaldo has won the trophies everyone expect Juve to win. They bought him for the CL and it hasn't worked out so far especially if his beef with Sarri continues

this would be a valid argument if Cristiano really thought winning Serie A would help him in the GOAT conversation. It's nice but in his eyes, given how much importance he gives to the balloon dor, this is massive L lol, Hala is right

IMO he chose Juventus thinking the had the best shot at CL aka ballon dor, but he didn't know about Bernadeschi

The premise of her rant is correct given van Dijk is a total nobody if we compare him to Cristiano and the banter was not exactly funny but her page long reply that clearly wasn't asked for is embarrassing and try hard and it seems Cristiano usually has his family members making things worse for him with these pathetic rants.

2nd half of the season ronaldo always turns it on

If he continues scoring at this exact pace, he would reach Higuain's 32 goal season.

Reaching 30 would put him in the top 10 highest scoring seasons in Juve's history.

He needs 17 goals more to become Juve's record goalscorer in a single season. With this kind of form, anything's possible imo.

Cristiano honestly is an utter joke. Only in his final two years in Real I began to see what a specimen he is and even more so in Juventus in what he has adapted in his game, even further.

Just turning 35 and having the biometric feedback of a man in his early 20s tells me he is not going to show a steep decline anytime soon.

I would credit his form to his general happiness that is so obvious in Juventus given we knew what problems he had with fans in Real Madrid and the board not making him feel important enough, as lame as that sounds.

In Juve the board does seem to cater to all his needs whilst the fans are ever so doting to him. Being a club with lower expectations than Real that is expected but he seems to have found the right balance and loves it in Italia from my perspective.
