Goal participation is probably the 2nd most useless statistic to come through football. 1st obviously being pass completion for goalies.

I haven’t been following Juventus that closely this year, but I read that he recently started a game despite being injured, and later had to be taken off because Sarri noticed he was struggling. That does not sound like the Ronaldo of old. Then again, like you point out, he turns 35 in less than 4 months.

Yeah, it's not an overrated stat on how effective they produce goal + assist relatively by their mins.

It's a much better indicator than using "per game" metrics lol.

So what's the argument you are trying to make? That Benz is better than Ronaldo? If so then it's time to get away from the screen. If it's to highlight how good he's been then I'd rather compare him to Lewa not Ronaldo

Sarri has times and times again proved he is a peasant. He has zero class or ability to coach big superstars. I was absolutely in shock when an ambitious club like Juventus decided to sign him. He's 60 and has won only one title in his entire managing career ffs

As it should be. The man is gonna be 35 soon and his best years already served two title winning teams in Man Utd and Madrid.

Him having poor matches makes sense as this is the time footballers start to grow long in the tooth. That being said, Jjuve spending so much money on an aging yet still very good footballer is hilarious.
