Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Yea love Source code too.
My opinions change over time as well. Some films I considered amazing aren't as good as I thought they were while some films I didn't like on first viewing now seem amazing.
But above all, my taste changed A LOT over the last 5 years. Didn't like slow burners or heavy drama in the past but they are like my favourite now.

Opinions definitely change overtime.
I remember I really didn't think Interstellar was all that when I saw it in the theater. But on the rewatch I enjoyed much more and now rate it much higher.

I didn't like Pulp Fiction that much when I first watched it but now I actually think that film was pure genius.

I remember finding American Beauty dull and pretentious and even repulsive the first time I watched it. I was so pissed by the plot that I couldn't even finish watching.
But now lol its in my Top 5.

The opinion on Channing Tatum also really changed. He really has improved so much.
Who would have thought back then we'd wait for Channing Tatum movies with anticipation

If this isn't true with me as well.
I thought it was just above average the first time I watched it. Since then I've rewatched it twice, and it has gotten better on every occasion.
Think I mentioned not so long ago that from now on it will be my go-to film when I feel sad and lonely and down and out on life.
It makes sense that opinions change though. We always grow and our relationship towards life and other things continually change and develop. At first in 2012 when I really got into films I thought there was a specific blueprint for great movies. So I idolised imdb's top 250 list for a while. I basically just watched those films and decided well this is what the top films ought to look like and be like. And of course, there's not plenty wrong in that as those are some pretty great films, especially if you want to start off learning more about what separates the great from the good and average. But as you get older you start to relate more to the emotional aspect of the film, and some of the things that relate to your emotional range and perspectives in life - you realise the importance of subjectivity. And you start to appreciate the art-form and all its technicalities more. Perfect example is American History X and Oldboy used to be one of the first films I mentioned when it came to top 5 or top 10 discussions. Now, I don't regard those as highly anymore. More often now it would be films such as Inside Llewyn Davis and In the Mood for Love.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Inside Llewyn Davis is a fking masterpiece.
Have been killing movies with my bro over break but still have a lot of work. Have gotten through Rogue One, Don't Think Twice, Swiss Army Man, the BFG, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week within the last couple days, have Hail Caesar and Kubo lined up, in my firing range is My Neighbor Totoro, Fences, La La Land and Nocturnal Animals. Although the local theatre doesn't have La La Land... really hope they stop being dumb and pick it up before long.
Supposed to be getting through some classic movies but we'll see. Watching movies every deh FeelsGoodMan

One of the reasons for disliking Affleck's casting on here was that he wasn't big enough

Really liked the Robert Langdon books though didn't care for Lost Symbol. Inferno is my favorite of the series, but definitely not looking forward to the movie. Not a single one has been anywhere near as good as the source material.
