juve_gigi wrote:Gonzalo Higuain is our most important signing since 15 years ago. He is like Trezeguet, Buffon, Nedved. He will be more of a factor to this side then Pogba ever was, not that I am bitter but because it is the truth. A world class prima punta can change the game much more easily than a box to box midfielder. For all of Pogba's great qualities, and he is a world class midfielder no doubt, it's just not possible to impact a game as a CM when you're playing so far down the pitch versus a central striker.
At the end of the day, with the addition of Higuain and Pjanic, Alves, Benatia and Pjaca, our team is stronger than last year, even without Pogba. With Gabigol announcing he wants Juve, that will only add to our vicious attack that we now have.
Welcome Gonzalo Higuain. Our best prima punta since Trezeguet. I know you will lead us to the promised land and at the same time laugh at all your doubters. You will prove your enemies wrong, you will become a legend wearing the black and white jersey.
What a ride it's going to be. Strap on your seat belts!!
Zlatan
But yeah, in terms of Loyalty and length of stay it is trezegol definitely.

Zlatan never reached his peak with Juve just like Pogba hasn't reached his peak with Juve either.
Higuain unquestionably is the best #9 we've signed since Trezeguet.

Ibra scored 23 goals for us in 70 Serie A games. Trezeguet scored 138 goals in 245 games. I'm talking about the impact to Juve specifially, not the whole career including other teams...

Yeah, Ibra is better than Trezeguet overall too, but for Juve its Trez. Higuain has the making to fill in those shoes.

You can watch his full press conference here.
Dodged many questions. Seems like a standard Juve press conference.

Btw it's true, he does need to loose some weight. He was like Morata in his Madrid days, thin and tall.

He lived in Napoli for 3 years. Have you ever had fresh Napoletana Pizza? I'm surprised he doesn't look like Maradona...

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
I think he'll thin down once the season begins.
Also that beard on him looks awful as well.
For the moment though, I feel a bit uncomfortable with how fat he looks especially for an athelete.

Meh, he doesn't look much different from his most recent Madrid days. Salmano must be thinking of when he was 20. It's probably the beard that makes him look a bit more pudgy....

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Yeah, but I remember before he got injured in RM he looked very different. I am afraid that fat strikers don't do as well when they age i.e Ronaldo R9. I want to see him loose weight, and I believe it would make him faster and a better player overall.

Professional athletes who follow strict diet and training programs throughout the season tend to let go during their summer vacations. They too have the need to recharge their batteries and let go a bit like the rest of us do.

My first thoughts were the same, he looks kinda fatty, but I'm not concerned. Should be fit for the start of the season then I'm all fine with that

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
I thin players over 30 years old start to lose speed and stamina
but that should not be our concern because Juventus has always combined experienced players and fresh players , Higuain will be surrounded with the guys like Dybala, Pjanic, Pjaca so there is no need to worry all he has to do is tap-in the ball

Tbf Ronaldo had a birth defect. He has/had a thyroid problem if I'm correct. Reason for his excess gain in weight.

Yeah, it's a shame. I think it's the corticosteroids that he had to take that made him like this.
As for higgy, he has to get in shape or else his career won't last very long.
