Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
The fat man makes it 12 in Serie A and 3 in CL for overall a goal every 110 minutes.
Big season so far. Best Juventus 9 in a long long time not just for the goals but everything he does is just right.
Can he beat Dybala's last season or Tevez' before that?
Dybala did 19 goals in A and 1 in CL.
Tevez was huge with 20 and 7 respectively.
That is in terms of goals of course and Higuain won't have the assists they made.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
I think he will as long as he's not paired with Mandzukic too often.
Would also like to see him in a 4-3-3 formation with Cuadrado and Pjaca/Dybala on the flanks.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Agree with S. We have one of the best finishers in world and we back him with only Pjanic.
Those matches he didn't score he was paired with Mandzukic and only Pjanic behind him to create something. That's wrong. With Dybala back and Pjanic his impact is huge. A 4-3-3 would be even better but only against weaker teams maybe as I don't see Allegri risking not playing with a back 3 against top teams in CHL.

Pipital will beat those records in the league with ease. I predict that he'll score 25+ goals in serie A this season. Not sure about the CL though

I have a serious question, do you guys believe only Suarez and Lewandowski are better than Pipita as a #9?

They both can be better, currently neither is better imo. They are all at a level where they are great and form can put any over the rest.

Higuain now has 9 goals in the league in 2017! ridiculous form.
I see now that starting the season fat was a tactic to fool people and store energy there for the winter and come out stronger. Prime Majin Buu stuff right there

Pipita is better than Lewa by far. I'd consider him even with Suarez. If he manages to help Juve win the CL then I'd consider him above Suarez

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Pipita is the best striker in the world right now. Cavani is right up there with him. They may face each other in the CL final.
Wouldn't it be great if Juve wins the CL and Roma wins the EL? Then we can put to rest which league is the best in the world.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Once again Juve proved everyone wrong in the transfer market. Most of the people (including myself) were in awe at the fact that we spent 94M on a 29 year old. However, he is on course to score 25+ in Serie A... maybe become Cappocannoniere as well. I was watching the game vs Palermo yesterday and even if Juve were 3-0 up he is always hungry for more. I *bleep* love that. Thank you Pipita

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
True that MrSuave, i feel the same way. This move was a big middle fingers up to Napoli and De Laurentiis. Higuain is very sneaky, i like the way he anticipates Cuadrado/Sandro cross, staying in between the defenders and tapping the ball at the last second. He is very dangerous when he does that.
I still think we paid around 25-30M more than what he's worth, but in the end it doesn't matter. Not my money.
Now we enter the crucial stage of the season and hopefully Hig will do a Robben 2013 and stop choking on big games. I think it might happen, he has less pressure with Juve than with Argentina.

Just saw Higuain receiving the player of the year award from VecchiSignora. I agree with them, our most important player last year.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
I mean yeah. Our only consistent attacker was Higuain by a long shot last season, our midfield was nothing spectacular and our defence had no standouts really, they're just great as a unit.
I hate it when we play negative football and he's just lumbering around the half way line though. It makes him look terrible. Hopefully with our wing rebuilding we can give the big boy the sort of service he thrives on.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
I’d rather have 35-goal Gonzalo Higuain than strikers with perfect abs who have 10 goals by May – Luca Toni
Luca Toni has lambasted critics of Gonzalo Higuain stating he’d rather have the Juventus striker than someone “with perfect abs” that wouldn’t be as prolific in front of goal.
The 29-year-old Argentine international has often come under scrutiny for the weight he carries but it hasn’t affected him as Higuain remains one of the most lethal marksmen in Serie A.
Toni, who previously enjoyed one season with the Old Lady after an illustrious time with Bayern Munich, feels such criticism is laughable when you consider what an effective centre-forward he is.
“I’d rather have Higuain with an extra kg or two in August who ends up scoring 30-35 goals rather than strikers with perfect abs who have 10 goals by May,” he told Tuttosport, as reported by Football Italia.
“Douglas Costa can be for Higuain what Franck Ribery was for me at Bayern Munich. I do see something of Franck in him, as there are players who enjoy setting up their teammates more than scoring by themselves.”
Since joining the Italian top-division in 2013 from Real Madrid he’s gone on to register 96 goals across 143 appearances for Napoli (71 goals in 104 games) and Juventus (25 goals in 39 games) combined.
Higuain’s efforts during the 2015/16 season, his final with Napoli, saw him bag 36 goals in 35 matches which saw the Brest-born footballer create a piece of history.
Gonzalo Higuain scored 24 goals in Sere A last season
Not since the 1928/29 campaign had any Serie A player scored as much with Higuain equalling Torino forward Gino Rossetti’s record.
After one game, the ex-River Plate marksman has already one goal to his name, scoring in Juve’s 3-0 rout of Cagliari.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Our J-MVP from last season is in incredible form right now, and at the moment we really need him in order to keep pace with our season and to overcome the injuries were dealing with at the moment.
5 in his last 3
All in all, a season on pace to equal or better last season. He's been more decisive in our bigger matches and his goals are really the reason that we are in the CL.
I think my favourite goal he scored was against Atalanta in the 2-2 draw, its in the video above towards the beginning. I think its a goal that demonstrates his ability, the movement, close control, the strength to hold off the defender and then an unstoppable finish with his 'weak' foot, no less.
He's easily become one of my favourite players

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Nice video.
I checked back on his goals to see when he's showed up and not.
Impressive from the fat one in terms of clutchness in away matches this season.
Only goal vs Napoli away.
Both vs Milan away.
Only goal vs Atalanta away.
Only goal vs Sporting away.
A goal to draw Atalanta away.

Re: El Pipita | Gonzalo Higuaín
Good research brother.
He was a non factor against Inter, given how we approached the game too.
Against Roma was his worst game, by far, missing two clear opportunities to score but thankfully, we were already leading and did win.
