Re: The Movie House - Part 7
Love Cillian Murphy. One of my favorite actors. Don't know about all those newbies playing lead roles. Hopefully Hardy and Murphy have huge roles.
Been waiting eagerly for the next Nolan project.

Sit tight, folks—a new Christopher Nolan movie is indeed gearing up. The filmmaker continues the casting process for his World War II action-thriller Dunkirk, and he’s added a familiar face to the ensemble. Per The Wrap, Cillian Murphy will be reteaming with Nolan for a fifth time with a supporting role in the WWII story following his turns in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Inception. While Begins and Inception are the only films that gave Murphy substantial screentime—his work in the other two Dark Knight Trilogy films are essentially cameos—it’s nice to see his relationship with Nolan will continue, and he fits in quite nicely with the ensemble Nolan has already assembled.
Murphy joins Tom Hardy as the other Nolan regular in Dunkirk, as Kenneth Branagh and Bridge of Spies Oscar-winner Mark Rylance are also set in supporting roles. The film takes chronicles the evacuation of Dunkirk during the British military operation that saved 330,000 lives as Allied soldiers were surrounded by German forces. But while Murphy, Hardy, etc. are considerable talents, Nolan opted to go with young newcomers for the film’s main stars, with Fionn Whitehead, Jack Lowden, Aneurin Barnard, and One Direction artist Harry Styles set in the lead roles.
As per usual, Nolan is shooting on film—a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format photography to be specific—with Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema reteaming with Nolan as director of photography. Filming is set to get underway this May as Nolan will be shooting in many of the real locations where these events occurred, so those who’ve been itching to see Nolan tackle a historical epic are finally going to get their wish.
Casting will be wrapping up here soon as the film’s May production start-date approaches, but we can bank on at least one more familiar face joining the ensemble in due time: Michael Caine. Scripted by Nolan, Dunkirk opens in theaters on July 21, 2017.

Michael Caine pls respond
Already the best movie of 2017
Yep, already my best movie of 2017. But watch some crap indie movie, with a lead who has some disability/disorder win it tho

Basically what I thought as well.
Still think studios might reconsider and push it towards October release.

They're not connected in any way, so no.

10 Cloverfield Lane
Even though it may make use of some elements we've seen before on the screen, it still feels refreshing and if you fall tired to the slow pace of the opening hour or so, the last 20 mins all but makes up for it. Thoroughly enjoyable thriller.
4/5

Jungle Books.
I had expectations and was not disappointed. It is with out any doubt going to win Oscar for the graphic works. One of the best graphics work I have ever seen and how fitting it was for a comic story like Jungle Book. At times you feel like you are reading the book.. Thats how awesome the camera and graphics were. There are some good out of the blue scary moments as well. Fantastic performance from the kid, if there is a kids section in oscar this kid will be there competing imo.
The story line isn't breathtaking. I'm usually a story man but this was so wonderfully pictured movies I didn't care about the story at all. Sound mixing and dubbing is extra ordinary, Sherkhans voice was just perfect and scary.
I will recommend it to everyone 9/10

After he's made all four sequels, Avatar will still have made the profit they cost.
He's made like 7 films and is still in top 3 overall box office I think.
He's probably the director who gets the money he wants from any studio when he wants it.
Could probably also finance one or two of them himself.
Really liked Avatar, looking forward to it. I just wish it came sooner. Cameron is so visually amazing as a director so I can't see him disappointing. All Avatar hate is just people wanting to get on the cool hate. It's not bad by any means.

Speaking in general. There's so much hate for it, on the basis alone of it being the number 1 movie of all time at the box office
It's really good. Heard one of the sequels is going to be underwater. Cameron making his own Aquaman movie outside the Entourage Cinematic Universe
