*bleep* official critiques.

I honestly put more stock on IMDb ratings than listening to what those elitists have to say.

And I don't care much for IMDb ratings.

From fat to deadly obese to fat again. That's dedication.

Really wish he'd stay healthy tbh. He's a top 5 comedian in Hollywood right now and I want him to stay for a long time. There's a sad history of losing fat comedians.

Why are they making sequel to Snow White & The Huntsman? Who thought that was a good idea?

And why in the world are they running with a Summer/Winter Court story?

Is it a sequel or a prequel? I have no idea from watching the trailers Laughing

First one was awful. No idea why'd they bother.

On the topic of films that should probably never have been made, it's been a while since I've had some decent whiskey and watched some crappy movies.

Airplane! and The Naked Gun series are probably the funniest comedies of all time. The great Leslie Nielson was a goat comedian.

Agreed, as far as comedies, Airplane! and The Naked Gun series are absolutely at the top of my list. I've heard all the jokes so many times now and they're still funny each and every viewing.

As far as other films go I recently watched Inside Out, Zootopia and Carol.

Inside Out is a brilliant animated film and deserves all the praise it's gotten. Incredibly original, heartfelt, funny, clever, and beautiful. One of the best made in quite some time. Zootopia is not nearly as original nor is it as great of a film as Inside Out, but it's a very enjoyable movie. The voice acting is great and I love the world that they built in it (everywhere you look you can find interesting little things the animators did and tons of little clever puns and references). The film is endearing to both children of course but it's a treat as an older person as well because it's filled with references to different TV shows and movies (the Godfather, Speed and Breaking Bad all make obvious appearances). Pretty clever humor made it quite a funny movie and the message, while kind of shoved down your throat, is nice to hear simply because of the audience it's reaching. In a time where stereotyping is going up due to recent world events, I think it's nice to see a movie teaching kids that this is a dangerous thing to do.

Carol misses out on being one of the better films of last year only because of the plethora of good films (and by one of the better films I mean, it doesn't even make top 5 for me tbh). Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara are mesmerizing in their roles and their love is so subtle and so gentle, but so beautiful for those exact reasons. For the entire movie you're left waiting for some sort of outward expression of sexuality or love, and for most of the movie it leaves you wanting--but it is in their interactions, often so very subtle, that you understand that all the time they are expressing a very special bond. I enjoyed the directing and I love seeing movies based in the 50's or earlier simply for the setting and costume design. I did think that Kyle Chandler's role was a bit underdeveloped and the story left a bit to be desired at times but it was clear that the main focus of the film rested entirely on the primary two actresses and they excelled.
