Fair enough, but he hasn't done much since, right? I'd say he has lost the star status he had at that point

If a manager doesnt know how to use him and he is not ready drop him ! I really dont understand this stupidity of saying a player should get injured. Utd fans pathetic, extremely pathetic !

He's talking about Jibers
but I think Jibers say it as a joke, as distasteful as it is.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
What's with the Sunday fixtures in the Prem this season btw? Is it the CL and EL messing with it? Feels like every other Sunday we have just one or two lame games. Last Sunday it was only Tottenham v West Ham, next Sunday it will be only Newcastle v Liverpool. A few weeks ago Newcastle v Norwich was the only Sunday game. Watford v Crystal Palace the Sunday before that. At least we've got a proper set of games today.
Tottenham v Chelsea
Pretty much every Chelsea game is somewhat interesting right now, given their league position. This is huge in every way regarding both these teams' top-4 hopes.
West Ham v West Brom
If you're into Westerns, this is your game.
Liverpool v Swansea
Two delicious pieces of bread (away wins to Chelsea and Man City) and some marmite (home loss to Crystal Palace) in between. Let's not put another layer of that disgusting stuff on that sandwich.
Norwich v Arsenal
Hunting canaries with cannons, this could get ugly.

Did he? All our best seasons Rooney was inconsistent and erratic and put in his best performances as a support player to CR. He was CRs first waterboy before Benzema. Was never consistent and never stepped up in any big games. He was awful in 2 CL finals in a row, subbed off in 08.Then CR left then he had a 1 truly epic season in 09/10 before he got injured at the tail end of the season, mostly down to Valencia's crossing, I think he was on the end of 12 or 13 Valenica crosses.
The season after he wanted to leave believing that United had no title aspirations (can you believe that!). He was injured at the start and in the CL we did more than we expected with good team spirit, Carrick, Valencia and Chicharito goals. Final came and he was awful, didn't track Busquets all game bar the first 5-10 minutes. Barcelona would have won anyways, but there was no excuse for the lack of tactical instructions.
The season after he was patchy with his form, he was a #9 for United for exactly 1 season. After that he has been terrible. There is a reason we signed RVP. Once RVP came Rooney was riding the bench harder than Jenna Jameson did in any of her videos. He was benched in a lot of big games. RVP came and he was a phenomenon although his form was awful for like 8-12 games iirc. The first few games RVPs goals won us the league.
Rooney is no United legend. Him breaking any record is a red herring to me and most United fans.

Come one now, regardless of what you think of his quality, if Rooney doesn't qualify as a club legend, I don't know who does. Into his 12th season as Manchester United's star player with 237 goals scored in all competitions.

Costa dropped to the bench, Pedro up front, then? BBC's live text claiming it'll be Hazard or Oscar, lol, surely not.

Not an awful lot going on in Spurs/Chelsea. Very few chances to speak of. Both teams playing direct, so midfield is non-existent.

Tottenham have got into good shooting spots just outside the box a few times, but need to get those shots on target. A pretty even game, could go either way.
