Re: The Walking Dead III
My thoughts on the latest episode of TWD:
- Warning: Spoilers Ahead!:
- Ok now it's official: Rick and the gang have lost their moral conscience and turned into psychopathic monsters killing people for food. Those of you who have read the comics know that Negan and co are bad people. But guys like me who still haven't read them yet, and more importantly, Rick and his guys still don't know that. Only Sacha, Abe and Daryl had a confrontation with them, and they still made them pay cash immediately with a rocket launcher. So as things stand right now, our guys had absolutely no reason to go after people who most of them didn't do them any harm and kill them in their sleep. I feel Glenn's time is near. When he saw those photos of people with smashed heads on the wall, it's like a window opening to his own fate.
Anyway, looks like the next world made them all act like monsters. I won't feel sorry if many of them die. They literally asked for it.

Great episode, saw that ending from a mile away.
Will quit the show if Glenn/Daryl dies.

Rick has turned into The Governor. You could see how uneasily Tara was eyeing him after his "kill them all" speech. It reminded her of The Governor who said the exact same thing and used the same justification.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Pretty much M99.
Great episode. Suspense was unreal. Can't believe they thought that little shitty outpost was negan's base
I really really feel sorry for everyone at Alexandria. I love Rick but he has destroyed it for everyone. He governord them right into hell. I hope whoever survives the war rightfully puts the blame on him.
That wall with pics of bashed up skulls. Glenn's face
Loved Gabriel in this episode.
Next few episodes will be amazing. 4 left iirc.

Yeah, I was also shocked to see DJ Khaled make a cameo as one of Negan's mates.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Who says negan is a girl though? It hasn't appeared yet.
It was too obvious that wasn't negan main base.
I disagree though that what they did is so inmoral and so on, they knew these saviors are killing and extortioning another community, so it's obvious they will do the same to yours. TWD world is not our world, it's more similar to the far west or bronze - middle ages. You either have a pact and a treaty with another community or war is guaranteed at some point.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Good episode.
Did you guys see the sneak peeks? There were two teasers released, the woman is definitely not Negan. And the guy that they took in the motorbike is their doctor and they need him badly. So a trade is certainly on the cards for Maggie and Carol or only one of them.
I have a feeling it's Abraham that gets killed when they meet Negan and not Daryl or Glenn.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has already been confirmed as Negan. Would be amazing if they somehow transformed him into a woman for the role.

The priest reciting bible verses before shooting people in the head was the most badass moment in TWD.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Right, so, here are my thoughts about the 2nd half:
- Mostly good. When the latest episode started off with Carol making cookies, I thought "finally a filler", but no. Good action.
- However, it's not credible how easily they stormed that armed compound. Didn't lose a single soul. Right. This show shouldn't feel like watching the Expendables.
- My main irritation is how obvious they've made the groups to be. The Hilltop people are overly soft. The Saviors are overly evil. Even looked like the casting had been done in a prison. I find myself longing for the Woodbury days when the adversary group was complex; a twisted, manipulative leader and a few ruffians, but mostly they were normal, good people. This negan's group is so obviously evil that it's boring. I hope what ever comes after this will have more layers to it. There's great depth of character in Rick's group; match it with something similar instead of obvious pussies or obvious assholes.
Anyway, can't wait to see who is it that dies from Rick's people. Abraham looks obvious. Maggie or Glenn, maybe. Carol, maybe. Her role has actually been surprisingly small for some time. And cheated on Daryl, smh. I hope they don't kill off Carol, I think she deserves better than that. This latest episode made me realize how underused she's been this season. But it's easy to see her somehow sacrificing herself to save Maggie or something.

Re: The Walking Dead III
My problem with this show has always been credibility. There are so many examples of things happening that is just impossible to believe someone got paid to write it. A lot of lazy writing in this show.
And also another problem I have is with minor character development. Every new scrub they meet recently (with the exception of Jesus) is some inexperienced virgin who has never killed a walker or a person and they basically have to go through some trials and tribulations before they rise to help the group (i.e. Gabriel, everyone from Alexandria, even Morgan going through that right now refusing to kill people until something happens where he will change his mind).

Carol didn't cheat on Daryl, right? They never had a romantic relationship as far as I know, just a very deep friendship that can continue on. At least that's what I gathered. Daryl seems to be a sexless person, like a fallen angel.

Re: The Walking Dead III
lol free mouse, I meant the cheating on Daryl thing as a joke.
Btw, I hope they're not going to let the main characters just stay still from now on, I mean emotionally and psychologically. Part of my fascination with this show has been how the characters cope and develop mentally and I feel characters like Carol, Michonne, Daryl have become more boring because it feels like they're now what they are and there's no reason to do anything about them. Maybe the show's been lately too action orientated.

Re: The Walking Dead III
Fantastic episode. Holy shit that was good. Easily one of the best they have done
Those new characters were quite interesting. Loved the scene in the 'Saw 1-esque' hall and specially the dialogues between Carol and Paula (apparently she was in justified. Expecting McAgger to comment here pls).
Carol and Maggie both were quite amazing. Both were due screentime for long period.
Negan mystery intensifies.

Re: The Walking Dead III
This show isn't about what 'caused' the virus or finding a cure to save the world. If you have been watching it for that, then you have been watching the wrong show. Might as well stop now.
