Verratti loses the ball near the box because he plays near the box. Of course Rakitic and Pogba never do because they aint anywhere it, they dont have the responsibility to come and get it.

Verratti's performance vs Chelsea is better than anything Pogba has every done as far as im concerned. And I do like Pogba alot.

We don't need a CM that comes and gets the ball. This was one of the things that pissed me off late xavi sometimes. Let Busquets and other 4 defenders do their job there, and wait further up.

What need for ultra-wide squads lol? He demanded a thin squad when he took over. No more than 23 players or something like that.

It might have changed but still we're nowhere near having a wide squad.

These two are incredibly different players, you get totally different things. If your looking at Verratti its to fill a void in the squad we currently dont have. If you want Pogba its not because we dont have some of the elements he brings, he just want a better/future better player.

I think the only people who want Verretti to come is the boy himself and a group of fans. Barca themselves probably have very little intrest, especially as they know he would be near impossible to get anyway.

The list of players who wanted to come to us and we werent interested.
Ozil,Isco,Kroos,Gundogan,Verratti. Two of them currently at Madrid and going to be the backbone of their squad for the near future. Pretty sure Verratti will end up at Madrid eventually.

If Madrid end up getting Verratti it will be because they will give Ronaldo in return who will bring PSG lots of attention from a marketing view point even with 32 which can't be compensated with offering just money, see Zlatan effect. Barca can make a € 120M offer and they'll just laugh about it.

Thiago would be fantastic but his injury record is very concerning. Not much use getting him if he's going to be in the stands the majority of the time. For the same reason, I'm okay with us not getting Gundogan in the summer (though who knows if he would have waited like Turan anyway). If he can prove that his injury problems are behind him this year then I would like to pick him up next summer.

Big name signing in January window? Honestly can't see it happening.

Woud love it anyway though. Despite all the stick that Pogba receives I really rate him and money is not an issue.

Wouldn't say dumb at all

We could field Pogba in La Liga and then Rakitic/Iniesta would be fresh for other competitions.

Also more physical presence is always welcome. And if Rafinha is seriously out for the season then we don't have any legit subs in the middle lmao

I just dont see the point (which could be why your right, Lucho obviously sees the point in many moves which I dont). Wouldnt the young Adama give about 90% of what Walcott would?

And its not like Theo can play various positions either.
