He's in the same category as Ibra for me. Dominate domestically, flop in Europe and he still choked in WC and copa. Needs to make grounds in big competition before we throw the word elite out there tbh.

He has been good in Europe for Napoli though. He is in his prime now. It is now or never for him. If he doesnt get picked up by a big club he may never win a european title in his career which he deserves

What season are we talking about here ? 2006-2007 because of that one goal against Espanyol ? 2007-2008 when he was still playing second fiddle to RVN , Robinho and Raul ? 2011-2012 when Benzema scored just as much and Ronaldo and Ozil were in the form of their lives ?
The one time Higuain " carried " Madrid was in 2008-2009 , and they didn't win squat that year.

Why the hell do people think he should move though?

As if the quality of play is that much better in the PL. Let him stay where he is and help Napoli win the title. He's got it good where he is now, change might fiddle with that.

He definitely wasn't a starter, but he scored a few goals, including a volley that made the 'pasillo' in the home Clasico possible.

Saying he was an " elite striker " looked like exagerrated at that time, but now no doubts, he is an elite striker.
20 goals in 20 matches in Serie A is an incredible score, never seen before.
Serie A is admiring that striker expected when he was signed from Real Madrid but not showed that real level in past two years

Higuain always has had a top class potential, it was a matter of whether he was going to reach it, and when. At 28 years old, he still has a lot of football to play. All the credits to Sarri who recognised his potential and helped him reach it.
