Why would anyone treat what van Gaal says as "gospel"? The man is notorious for his eccentricities.

Van Gal also said Valdes refused to play with the reserves and Valdes denied it. (although it looks like Valdes only played against big U 21 teams ,3 games out of 12)....I dont believe LVG completely either. LVG didnt claim De Gea refused to play in public, instead he approached a Journalist and told him De Gea gave no to starting games. Something fishy is going on.
