you can but it also changes everything else, text size, etc, to the point of making it look blurry, I'm sure there will be a way to do it in the near future

Is it possible to install it using a USB flash drive onto a new HD? Did it on my old one, but apparently the motherboard detects the activation or something on new HD's.

It is, unless you have already upgraded.

I upgraded using the USB media tool method on my first HD, didn't use windows update. Apparently you can upgrade as many times as you want, as long as it's on the same motherboard. Hopefully it works on my new HD.

Ordered a PC HD instead of a laptop one, thought they were all the same ffs. Realised as soon as I picked up the HD and it had the same agility as my entire laptop. hmm

Ended up getting an SSHD, everything's working fine, activated etc. Win 10 is so much more agile than win 7 imo. hmm

This installation process is doing my head in. Bought a laptop that automatically upgrades to windows 10 but after installing the updates and restarting my laptop it goes back to windows 8 and I have to restart the whole process again. Wash, rinse and repeat

If the regular update process doesn't work for you, try the media creation tool;

Win 10 crashed my laptop two weeks after I upgraded, wasn't able to restore and lost everything. A lot of people had the same issue so I'm sticking with 8.1 for a few more months.

You upgraded from an authentic win 7 right? my friend had this issue so he rolled back to win 7, extracted product key from it and used it to install win 10 again.

Nah on windows 8. I really don't know always thought my windows 8 isn't legitt, or legitimately installed because I usually got this when it asked me to activate windows.

That might be a problem, either the windows is not properly registered or it's not legit, mostly the latter im afraid. if that's the case then you cant get win 10

Well I finally updated to Windows 10 and the interface is actually quite similar to Windows 7 which is good. Other than everything is called apps instead of programs.

The worst thing is they got rid of Mineswepper! Wtf man...

Also, the date format at the bottom right of the screen, there isn't an option for 01-11-2015. My options are 01-Nov-15, 2015-11-01, 11-01-2015 and practically everything in between...

Apparently pirated versions can be upgraded. Could try upgrading through the media creation tool on a flash drive.

Windows 10 cheers

It came through after lots of tinkering here and there, I had 3 options it came down to.
1) Find a way to activate my windows 8 after this whole time Laughing
2) Find a product key somewhere to finish the windows 10 installation.
3) If 1 & 2 don't work, then download the ting on a USB and boot my PC from the start wit da ting.

Being the absolute legend that I am, I worked out BOTH 1 and 2 within a minute, so there yeah I FINALLY activated my windows 8, but a minute later I was upgrading to windows 10 because I found a key somewhere online. Thank you for all those beautiful people over the internet who share Razz
