Is it worth getting if you don't have a touch screen laptop? I'm still using 7 and have no issues with it.

I'll tell you later. Started DL'ing 5 minutes ago and am at 90% atm, using Win7 Professional atm and can tell you how it translates.

Have you guys heard about the Wi-Fi Sense feature with Win 10?

That feature is going to freak people out tbh

That being said, just finished installing, and am liking the first 20 minutes of Win10 so far. All programs carried over fine, so did saved passwords, cookies etc etc - all good, as it seems.

make sure you disable Sense unless you're really sure you want it

Hopefully, I can sort out the installation crap tonight.

I use an ethernet cable so I don't care.

Still disabled it.

Also make sure to block few other things. Like Microsoft sharing your info around.

Look around in Settings->Privacy

Yeah I had already switched off everything you can switch off in the brackets of feedback, privacy tab, the personalized ads and locations, location tracking, caching of location for the maps app etc. etc. - everything off. Was all pretty easy to find though, at least. Privacy tab actually contains pretty much all the relevant privacy settings. It's almost as they don't want to dick you around.

They probably know the users who know what those settings do will find them eventually and opted not to piss them off.

Still liking Windows 10. PC also boots in 12 seconds now, instead of 90.

ok try this

First make sure Windows 10 isn't downloaded. Restore your current windows to an earlier date if possible.

Then go to C:\\->Windows->SoftwareDistribution->Download

Delete everything in there

Then download and install windows 10 again and see if that works.

Microsoft Edge is pretty good btw.

Faster than Chrome and nothing like IE.

When they add extensions later on (adblock4lyf), then I think i'll make the move. Chrome seems quite bad lately and has not aged well at all. Specially with flash.
