Chelsea's to lose
But hopefully they will have better competition this time.
City still haven't made the big moves which they should soon enough.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Chelsea winning it by so much last year is misleading considering they were the only ones who turned up for the first 6 months.
Won't win it by so much again, if it does i will have a Hazard avatar for a year and say he's the best player in the world in my sig for the same time.

Someone is bitter.
With the team we're assembling and should assemble by the end of the transfer window, not a chance, but keep convincing yourself that. Hah!
Both Arsenal and Chelsea have well settled starting lineups.
United are clearly a work in progress and the coach STILL doesn't know what his best team is.
Man Utd could buy all the stars in the world and I would still rate them behind Chelsea and Arsenal without doubt.I believe Chelsea is comfortably the best team in England anyway on both a tactical level as well as overall squad quality/flexibility.
Yet to see what kind of moves City are going to make though.

Di Maria is in advanced discussion with PSG. Fee is agreed (60 mil euros)... wages are being discussed.

Wow, didn't expect it to accelerate that quickly
I wonder if United will aim to get another winger or a pseudo-midfielder like ADM

says nothing about fee being agreed tho lmao
says
"Manchester, who paid € 75 million for his services last year, made it clear that PSG would not object to a start if he found it financially. An offer of around 65 million euros should satisfy the Red Devils leaders but PSG would first like to agree with Angel Di Maria and his agent, Jorge Mendes, before making its proposal."

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
what did it translate to? Man u want 60 mil and PSG are fine with that. But Mendes wants 10 mil net wages for Di Maria and PSG are negotiating because they're not willing to give that at this point. As a backup, they're talking to De Bruyne. If the wages get settled, the deal very likely gets done.
That's the gist of the entire RMC article

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Di Maria is a fraudulent failure anyway, if you can get €65m then that's a miracle. Add that to your current budget and sign Lloris/Otamendi/Lacazette, you'll be better off. Herrerra can replace him and Mata if you need someone more productive/attacking minded.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Lacazette had literally zero chance of getting moved... Lyon is opening their new stadium this year and Aulas will sell none of his stars until after the Euro. If someone gives an insane offer, he might take it... but we're talking 40-50 mil lol. In any case, Lacazette strongly prefers Arsenal although Wenger might be too cheap.

it doesn't say united want 60 million it says in there opinion 65 million euros should satisfy United but they want to agree with Mendes wages first before tabling any offer
soo a fee is NOT agreed like you originally stated, and in fact hasn't even been presented yet lol

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
Second paragraph... says Man U would be satisfied with a fee of around 65 mil (sorry, not 60) but PSG want to reach agreement with the player first before agreeing to the fee. The article goes out of its way to make it very clear that fee isn't the main problem... it's the player's wage demands.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
so a fee is not agreed. just speculation of what United would want. like i said
fee agreed means PSG table a actual offer and United accept it.

Re: Manchester United Part V/Ole Sack Watch
I think Basti can go one of two ways. Either he has a quite yet effective impact something like Ballack did when he moved to Chelsa at a similar stage in his career.
Or he can besomething like Alonso now, almost finished and the speed and intensity of the game being too much for him. I think with Van Gaal is more likely he is does what Ballack did, the difference is Chelsea had an already established team whereas Man Utd is still a unfinished jog saw puzzle.
Obviously they need another striker, but even after that I dont know how the clown will fit it all together.
I dont see a great team by any means though, only on paper when you scroll through the names and think of the possibilities if everything goes well.

United quietly assembling another great team"
Manchester United have now spent a reported £289.35m since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
Anything but quiet tbh.
