What a douche move on their part to create such a trailer showing the entire film in it.
Interest in watching the film like reduced massively thanks to that eff up.

And because of that I didnt watch Legend trailer you posted seeing how it was going for something like 20 seconds. It was pretty revealing as well.

We should only watch teasers tbh. Trailers nowadays are huge spoilers.

Not just a better actor, Michael B. Jordan is actually an actor which Tommy Morrison wasn't.

Fully expecting this to be a great film. Coogler impressed so much last time, and Stallone in a supporting role as Rocky is great.

Terminator Genisys poster spoils the major twist of the movie, never mind trailer Laughing

I say it's 50-50 with trailers nowadays, trailers of Spectre, BvS, Star Wars etc spoiled absolutely nothing but still built hype.

Usually it's a marketing firm hired by the studio that does the trailers, because the other people are busy filming or working on the movie. And marketing people only know numbers. Terminator director ever said they spoiled too much.

It will be looked back upon being a milestone in contemporary filmmaking. Such brutal honesty and accuracy. Depressing, yes, but depressingly wonderful. Incredibly confident direction from Derek Cianfrance as a first-timer.

Yea but still.

Showing scenes with dialogues through trailers tarnishes the novelty factor even if we know the story I believe. Just an opinion though. But still Dont know why they do that.
Maximum they can create a minute a half long trailer, anything over that is unnecessary and gives away the film.

But then I know there are intelligent film makers who intentionally show things in trailers to make people believe what they want them to believe for only later to be fooled. Thats a nice little ploy.
Nolan knows that. Proud

Perhaps thats because the films he make these days are out of the world concepts and people will no matter get fooled irrespective of what they take away from the trailers. Very Happy

Nolan is like 1 in a hundred imo, these days most trailers are made to get you more excited and hyped for a movie rather than subtly introduce you to the movie

Well, depending on the project and the studio, the trailer work is often split between the studio's in-house marketing department and outside agencies. I imagine if a director wanted to assemble his own trailer, he very well could

So it all comes down to the director whether he wants to bother with making a trailer and submit it to the marketing team for further processing and shit, or just leave it up to the marketing department for good?

He has literally stormed this decade with Inception, TDKR and Interstellar :coffee:

so is he going to keep up the trend of dropping a film every 2nd year?
Do you guys want to see him do a sci-fi again? Or perhaps tackle another genre this time? He has been rumoured to take on a James Bond film sometime in the future, how do you feel about that?
