It looked that way.
Freddie Roach basically had him fight like De La Hoya. Throw wild punches and hope the crowd sways the fight for you.
Terrible.

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Manny needed to attack way more. Didn't throw enough punches overall. I don't know how it finished but at one point punches thrown was basically tied. He fought in a straight line all night too.
This was always likely to be a "boring" fight, most of Floyds fights are. He's a defensive fighter.
The 11th round was a clinic by MM

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
Wtf
I get why Manny is mad it's like getting 1-0'd by Chelsea but ffs were they really naive enough to think they were winning that fight going in to the last rounds? I expected Manny to do so much more, he looked way too cautious
It's like he didn't realise that Mayweather could play it smart AND win over the judges.

I have hopes Khan will fare better as I think he would not have a gameplan which looks like it was made by a 5 year old

Re: Boxing thread - Part 2
I am just shocked
Manny & co, World class boxer surrounded by veterans and they actually thought that being more 'active' than Floyd would win over the judges. Burst their bubble when they realised the whole World had Floyd winning most rounds easily.

lol I don't know someone who has the best chance of beating him, I know he's the best. But it would be nice if someone got lucky.
Miguel Cotto could get a revenge match. He's probably the most likely to get lucky.

Should've been a draw imho. Can't take a sport as boxing seriously when the loser looks less beat up after the match than before. Worst weightclass to watch

He won't imo.
His whole thing is "Speed Speed Speed" and we've just seen how Mayweather can take the "Speed" factor out of the fight early.
