Khan got a fight scheduled November 22. No opponent yet.

Brooks wont be ready by then so I guess Kahn fights someone else, Brooks gets a tune up early 2015 and they fight next May or something.

As for Floyd - Maidana. I dunno, maybe there is a real chance of Maidana winning...or maybe Floyd fights safer this time, IDK. The 2nd half of the fight he stayed off the ropes more and it probably was the reason he won the rounds he did.

was on like 5am. Just watched it now. Dull and straight forward tbh

Like I predicted, Mayweather learnt from last time and had it much easier now. Maidana looked lost most of the time and resorted to biting Laughing wtf was that Laughing

Floyd can't be beaten by the likes of him. Said it before. Floyd needs better opponents or he might as well retire after going 50-0.

Yeah, I was watching the fight last night but it was just so routine, basically.

Really did look like Maidana bit Floyd the inside of Floyds glove. Then he throws that elbow to the throat in frustration a couple rounds later. Not a good showing for him.

Disappointed in the fight tbh.. Was going to go to a bar and watch it, got held up and ended up streaming it.. Thank god Laughing

I hope he fights Khan next so we can actually see a boxing match, and not one guy brawling but getting outclassed..

Him fighting Khan would show why boxing so badly needs a governing body and not these individual promoters.

How can Khan be in to fight the number 1 p4p after getting knocked out by Garcia, refusing to fight Kell Brooks, not giving Maidana a rematch and not fighting any of the other top fighters at 140-47 like Thurman, Alexander, Broner, Porter, Guerrero, Bradley, Marquez, Porter or Pacquiao.

Floyd's next 2 fights should be Bradley and Pacquiao.

Though the Bradley admittedly would be poor viewing.

I don't know lol, he's a big draw and is a pretty good boxer.. I don't think the Pacquiao fight will ever happen and I don't want to see him fight Bradley lol

Would Garcia move up to fight?

He is a very big draw in the UK, its a money fight for sure. But in terms of boxing, what can he really trouble Floyd? I used to think he would give Floyd problems but now I start to doubt it.

He got fast hands, but has poor defence, doesnt hit hard, doesnt fight rough and is easily stunned. Floyd might actually stop someone for a change Laughing

Garcia and Floyd maybe could fight at a catch-weight. Garcia last fight was at 142, maybe he could come up a few more pounds.

Agreed with Dani tbh. I have lost a lot of faith in Khan. He doesn't even seem interested in Boxing anymore. The potential he had at 22 is nowhere to be seen.

Floyd will take him easily right now. Like Dani said, Khan should fight others before stepping up to Floyd. Build his torn reputation back etc.

For Floyd, I don't know who is the top 5 in his division atm. He should fight someone better than Maidana but he probably won't pick anyone high profile to be safe. I am not excited by Pacquaio vs mayweather anymore. Pacman is done and the fight won't be anywhere as good as it would have been 5 years back.

Canelo has called out Pacquaio.

Could in theory happen at lightmiddle, same weight Pac fought Margarito at..which is 147-154 pounds, or obviously some kinda catchweight (Canelo was 152 vs Floyd but 155 vs Lara in his last fight).

Obviously I have major doubts it happens, Arum/Roche will say Canelo is too big. Noone will call it ducking Canelo though lol

Because he is too big..Canelo didn't make 154 for either of his last two fights and Manny fought Marg at a cw. I think 150. The weight difference is too much and Canelo would have to kill himself again to make whatever cw they come up with. Canelo should go after GGG after he kos Cotto in the 2nd round IMO

It was a catchweight (typical) but it was for the Super Welterweight Championship which has the limit of 154. If you want the belt you should have to fight at that weight, not some bs catchweight.

Anyways, Margs aint no seller and was coming off the Mosely destruction...so obviously Pac held all the cards in that.

But Canelo is bringing in major pulling power and even more so for 5th May.

Now, Canelo is no longer champion at that weight but I dont get why the fight cant happen at SW when the limits are 47-53? Pac goes up a couple pounds, Canelo goes down...why is that not possible?

tell that to your boy

And it looks like Canelo can't make 154 anymore. There was a cw vs Lara, but he just came in overweight against Angulo. At 154 I'm sure he'd do it, but anything less he should just say no.

Im pretty sure for Pacquiao, Canelo will fight at 154 and if 1lb is the difference between a fight happening and not...then clearly there is a problem.

BTW, nothing is confirmed.

This sounds like a Floyd hypothetical and considering the source is the Daily Mail lol

Not like 2 weeks ago I read Floyd say (paraphrasing) "Khan should beat Garcia and Maidana before fighting me".

Tbf Khan should.

As much as i am a fan, Khan will get knocked out by Floyd. Can't see any other finish than that. He hasn't fought anyone big and needs to show people he actually is a threat. Talent alone won't get him anywhere.

Khan will stick in there, dont think it would end in a KO actually. Khan has a terrible chin, but he doesnt actually get knocked out minus Prescott. He got stopped via Garcia before getting KO'ed and both of the punches in those fights were HUGE. He been hurt like a dozen times but he avoids the stoppage/KO.

Floyd's hands are apparently a mess and he hasnt put together combinations since around 06 (thus no stoppages) and minus the odd occasions (Hatton) he dont have one punch KO power.

Think Floyd would simply fight close to Khan like Peterson did, rough him up physically, stick his elbow in his face, fight in the pocket and counter. Khan has fast hands and puts them together, but dont be surprised if people say "why isnt Khan throwing punches", its because he would be getting countered too often to let them go.

Khan only wins the fight if he runs (possible) but I cant see how you can beat Floyd on points by doing so, just on reputation.

Garcia beat him before and he was lucky as hell to escape past Maidana last time and quite frankly Maidana is much much better now.

He'd be an underdog in both fights.

Garcia has no interest in fighting him, I cant imagine why he would either.

I think if you get knocked out/stopped in a fight (fairly, not like Groves-Froch 1) then that'll be it.

Maidana was calling for a rematch straight away, dont think he will ever get it. Too dangerous.
