Re: UK 2015 Elections
I don't get it, don't you guys want "change" (as overused as that may sound when it comes to governments and politics), so if Tories is the usual winners why don't you just vote the party who is considered its main competition in Labour
I've learned a bit about UK politics these last few months because probably 70% of the people I follow on twitter are from the UK

Re: UK 2015 Elections
If the 58 seats for SNP are true then goddamn, it is a good day and I'm damn proud of my people. Time to put the flag up real quick.
Anyway, IF, and it's a big if since even Sturgeon thinks the exit poll is bollocks and the SNP seats are too high, then you idiots across the border just f**ked yourself over so hard. Who the hell voted for the Tories? Jesus.

No way Plebb is staying as the leader. They need to start afresh like Labour did post Blair

Re: UK 2015 Elections
You blame the Scottish for voting SNP, but really if Labour hadn't ruled out a coalition with SNP they'd still be looking at a real chance of being able to form a workable government that could out-vote the Tories.

Re: UK 2015 Elections
Not sure about that. Scotland's patriotism rose about 500% after the referendum. Sturgeon is miles more charismatic and effective than Alex Salmond was and was one of the reason people wanted to vote for her rather than contemplate about any coalition or keeping tories out.
Labour will never agree to a coalition with anyone. Maybe rightfully maybe not.

Re: UK 2015 Elections
It wouldn't have been a proper coalition anyway. Labour would have ruled with a minority and whenever they needed to get anything important passed SNP would have given them the votes to do so.

That's what happens when you stand side by side and celebrate a referendum win with the Tories.
The North remembers.

It's better for UK to be together than be separated imo.

I don't actually have a problem with staying in the UK, it isn't actually that bad for us since thanks to the Barnett formula, we get given way more money than we actually need , but the sight of Labour members celebrating their win with the *bleep* Tories was a betrayal in the eyes of many, including many of those who had voted to remain as part of the Union.
You'll find that there's many people who want to stay as part of the UK but are voting for SNP this election, my family among them. The SNP have proven themselves competent leaders of Scotland and they deserve to win all these seats.
