If he does leave, which he probably will, who would Spurs realistically replace him with?

The market is thin, and Spurs are limited due to non-CL football, the only choice is to recruit from a non-CL team. Some average joe like Calvert-Lewin or some such other B+ striker

They were linked to Lautaro, but so are Arsenal and Atleti.

Other then that Jesus (included in City deal), Vlahovic, Jimenez (largely linked because of Nuno) and Ings has been on the list too Laughing

Honestly the issue is Spurs, the way they treat players that want out. Big clubs have the mindset of abundance, they sell a player who doesn’t want to play for them given they receive a satisfactory offer. Spurs always act like a shit club when a player wants to leave.

The height of arrogance from Levy. He's so convinced that Spurs are a "big club" that he believes a couple signings, a new manager, and one of the best strikers on the planet and Spurs are back to being a contender. It doesn't work like that. The team needs rebuilding and having one of your senior players, and your best player, hanging around sulking is no help, and the money he could have gotten Spurs could have been used to improve the defense and midfield. Sonny could have been the main forward.

It's clear this team has needed more than a couple signings for a while. The team needs a full rebuild.

I wasn't a fan of keeping him and unfortunately it seems I was correct (as most people but Levy probably thought)
