Harry Kane Appreciation Thread A.K.A Soldado's Death Sentence
Pochettino Bearer warned us that [Harry] Kane was coming and that no team in the World Premier League would be safe and, it seems, he was right. Seemingly out of nowhere, this English youth has sprung in to the limelight and forced people to sit up and take notice. Having netted 13 goals before tonight, he was simply too hot for Corporate Chelsea to handle, frequently making a mockery of both Terry and Cahill and bagging a brace and an assist in the process. Could this 6'0" tall monster be the answer both for Spurs and for England's NT, or is this just another flash in the pan player experiencing the motherload of all purple patches at the moment?

Re: Harry Kane Appreciation Thread A.K.A Soldado's Death Sentence
He literally beasted today, everytime I've watched Spurs this season he has
a) the work rate of a wildebeast
b) this consistent forward drive, whether they are winning or losing
c) this strange knack of getting goals
and he has all of a sudden learned how to dribble alas it may be a bulldozer style of dribble but he keeps the ball and keeps advancing lol
Literally he has gone from a bog standard average player to a player with many potential qualities
wtf

I'm hesitant to say he's the next Rooney as it's more likely he will turn out to be the next Carrol but he's having a great moment. He's not just a clutch finisher but also has vision and the passing skill to put his teammates in dangerous positions. Took Poch long enough to make him a regular starter but he could be exactly what Spurs need to get to the top 4.

I'm still sceptic about his long term future but he has been great this season without a doubt. Well done to him and Pochettino.

He's better than Costa in everything but reputation.
Look at his game, he gets everybody in. Costa could barely bumble into an onside position as Hazard took the fight to Rose.

Noticed him near the end of last season. Excellent positioning, technically gifted, and the energy and desire to invigorate his team. Big fan of this fella

Have to watch some more Tottenham games in the future but tbh he seems more like a player who's enjoying a few good months. Anyway don't want to write a player off who I haven't seen to much from.

Saw him in EL (last season?) and thought he looked good. It's surprising that it's taken this long for him to break through.

Gotta admit, you're the first Chelsea fan/supporter/sympathizer I know who has nothing good to say about Costa. What exactly you don't like about him?!

I kind of view him in the the Robbie Keane light. I think he'll do very well for Spurs but the second someone else pays big money for him he'll be a major disappointment.

Re: Harry Kane Appreciation Thread A.K.A Soldado's Death Sentence
Watching him gets me excited...mostly because his all around skill is quite impressive. He's a big enough player to not get pushed around by anyone really (and win headers), he's got a decent enough dribbling technique to actually take players on (though I wouldn't really see him get AROUND many people, he certainly can get past a player and weave between players), he's able to pass the ball as well as most strikers because his technical skill is quite good, and more than anything he has an insane work ethic.
I think he's undergoing a good run of form though and I doubt he'll play consistently like this (especially performances like against Chelsea), but I definitely think he has the quality to stay as the starting striker at Spurs. Would love to see him link up with another top striker with Kane as more of an SS because he isn't really a pure striker.
As long as he doesn't lose what has been correctly identified as a ridiculous work rate and his forward drive, I think he should keep improving. His current form though I believe is due to him coming out of basically nowhere as far as this level of play.

Flavour of the moment
Though, on a more serious note, I genuinely think the lad is talented and has good qualities and that he can improve.
It's tough to say how he is going to turn out as we have seen plenty of players before who have gone through this situation where they get the hype and then it gets forecasted that the player will become a beast in time, and then at the end it all turns out bad or that he is just average at best.
But the lad's got quality, let's leave it at that and enjoy watching him for the time being.

I've been surprised by his dribbling, too, this season. It's not exactly graceful, but good enough to create himself a bit of space. And his passing vision isn't bad, either.
An exciting player, definitely, we'll see which way he'll go. And if he goes from strength to strength, can Tottenham keep him.

It really is pretty impressive how he manages to keep the composure to delay that shot, with Matic 'up his backside', though.
