Skrtel and Manquillo out. Shame really, Henderson is effective at CM, Got two assists last game.
That would be Gerrard & Lucas together in midfield again?
The only, and I mean only, positive about that would be that it's only Leicester at Anfield and we should beat them even if we had a Lambert - Borini CM pair.
But let's wait and see, maybe it won't be Stevie and Leiva. I want to believe.

Would like to see Raheem play like 60 mins and Balotelli get more than 8-9 mins.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last five games against Leicester (W4, D1).
Liverpool are vying to record three consecutive Premier League victories for the first time this season.
Brendan Rodgers' side have scored seven goals in their last three league games - more than in their previous eight matches combined.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
FML keeps wasting Hendo at RWB, again a narrow pathetic victory would be nothing to celebrate because when the season gets tough and we stop vs plebs, we'll get exposed.
We should win this no problems, let's hope so.

#LFC Mignolet, Toure, Sakho, Can, Moreno, Henderson, Gerrard, Lucas, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling.
Expected team starts, Gerrard will be under huge pressure.
#LCFC XI to play #LFC: Hamer, De Laet, Drinkwater, Morgan, Hammond, James, Vardy, Schlupp, Simpson, Mahrez, Wasilewsk
Wat?

Maaaaaan, we're so lucky. Leicester should be 1 or 2 - 0 up and we get a penalty for handball that hit his face. lulz

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
Got lucky heaps for the first, second was spot on.
Man we could of been down early, Cou's work on the ball is gun, he needs to spend some time teaching our boy Raheem.
Other than that we've looked avg against a scrub side, 3 points would be a great result but we need to improve come second half.
Can someone tell me why balo isn't on the bench? Did he pick up a knock or just didn't make the cut?

I was wondering the same, I kinda hope it's an injury...
Not a classic half by us, but 2 - 0 should mean we've got the points in the bag.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
*bleep* bullshit. Top 4 with a squad of chokers is a pipe dream.
I have never seen a more mentally fragile Liverpool team in my life. We get so deflated after we concede it's not even funny. I wasn't even surprised that they got the second goal seconds after the first one.
Swansea did almost the same thing to us.
*bleep* this shit.
Also Borini is such a joke of a player.

*bleep* absolute joke, looked shit the whole *bleep* game, *bleep* got outplayed by Leicester City, infact they got robbed 2 points, yeah and you guys were getting excited because we won a few on the trot.
Rodgers honestly doesn't know how to change a game with subs, why was hendo wasted again, honestly what he does for us in the middle is better than lucas and Gerrard combined.
Wasted another *bleep* opportunity when the other top 4 teams dropped points.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
So... we cannot score from open play at home against the bottom team in the table, need two handball penalties to get a draw, one of which wasn't even a penalty. And all in all they probably had the better chances to score more goals than we did.
I've had it, I've got a post to make in another thread.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
Wow, guys tone it down a bit eh? Leicester have their backs against the wall facing relegation and came out and played a fantastic game. They would have troubled any team today and fair play to them. We were getting in our own way a bit, too. The result was fair.
I felt our midfield was too slow and wasteful with passes. Forcing it too much with Gerrard and Lucas. There was a clear difference, at least for me, with Gerrard + Lucas vs. Henderson + Lucas. Hendo continues to impress from every position he plays, but he needs to be in the centre so that his influence is much more on the game. Both of their goals started on the left side which is unfortunate. Coutinho was our best player again IMO and it was really unlucky that his great shot hit Borini, and then Borini's shot hit Markovic.
I'm not upset. We still gained a point on Arsenal, and didn't drop anything to United, and Tottenham almost surely lose today. We'll still make top 4 - 5, just a bit slower now.
But yeah, a lot of overreaction in here to an average performance to be sure, but not an unfair result against a team that was going balls to the wall pretty much all game against us and we sat back after going up 2 - 0.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
The result was not fair, we didn't even deserve a *bleep* point mate.
Leicester got robbed a win, they out played us hard, we only scored from 2 pens, and 1 was a BS call.
Stop living in some looney land thinking were going to walk into 4th or 5th, a miralce run needs to happen, when we need to rely on 4 or 5 teams dropping heaps of points, how can anyone be that confident, and when they do and we can't even take advantage against the team coming last.

Re: Liverpool v Leicester
Well, I disagree. We blocked 2 of our own shots that looked like they could have been goals (or tested the keeper quite well if not) and had a few blunders in the box with headers and/or set pieces that just missed. On top of which I think if the ref hadn't called the first pen (it wasn't one) he probably would have called the one on Borini at the end which was a close one.
Position in the table is not always indicative of form. Leicester came out today and played their hearts out. They wanted it much more than we did and that was obvious from the get-go. Sometimes that happens. I'm confident because even in our draw today we still didn't look as bad as United or Arsenal who both deserved a loss. We've looked much better than them over the last 10 games, and I think with Sturridge coming healthy we'll continue to look better than them. Eventually our form will overtake theirs considering we are not that far behind them in points, and I don't think Southampton or Tottenham have the quality to stay ahead.
I also choose not to get down because of one game here or there. I like to look at the whole and the progress and for me there's been plenty of progress over the last 5 - 10 games that I like. It will only get better when everyone is healthy and drilled. Don't forget we've also played a lot of games over the last little while with essentially the same line-up.
