Leicester v Liverpool

Mid-week Premier League, yay!

And it's an away game against the bottom-of-the-table Leicester whose last win came on 21st September... against Manchester United

And if our attack is struggling, well, since that win over United, Leicester have managed to score in just two of their last eight matches.


We got a hugely relieving win against Stoke just the other day and now we must build on that ray of sunshine. Losing or drawing a match like this would obviously feel like points dropped.

What line-up I'd like to see:

Mignolet
Johnson - Skrtel - Toure - Moreno
Gerrard
Henderson - Lallana
Markovic - Lambert - Coutinho

I wouldn't mind if Lucas started ahead of Gerrard, but I'm just pretty sure Rodgers will hand Gerrard a start. Rest Sterling.

Gerrard & Emre to come as substitute. Either of Borini or Markovic can start with the other coming as sub. But knowing Rodgers, he will probably start Lovern, Gerrard and Raheem

I say put in Sheyi Ojo . . the lad can't be any worse than what we currently have in terms of form of Strikers . . . would also give the kid a huge boost!

Ojo isn't a striker though. Maybe give a rep to Yesil or Sinclair.

I'm not worried about Leicester, but I'm worried about our own inability to score. Might take a clean sheet to win this one.

By the way, Leicester have actually lost only one of their six home games. One win and four draws.

Lallana in for Coutinho, I dunno, should maybe have been Sterling. Adam needs to take this chance now.

Will keep an eye on Gerrard at that CM role. This is the last role he can perform in.

Still not exactly a dominant performance - we struggle too much with the transition from midfield to attack - but a comfortable win in the end.

Happy for Gerrard for his goal, he couldn't have scored at a better time, with all the talk that's been surrounding him on these days.

Im bit worried about Sterling. We need to shift him everywhere to accommodate the others. Lucas has to start every game.
Skrtel-Toure were pretty average today bar the last 10 minutes when they were brilliant.

Also quite confident this formation wont work against proper counter attacking sides. Allen came on provided good balance. That was a good sub by BR. Im glad he is seeing sense and playing a winning 11.

What worries me is that out of our 100m signings, The best RB is Flanagan, LB is Enrique, CB: Skrtel Sakho probs, Lambert will be replaced by Danny. Only Manquillo and Lallana have had some decent games for us. Its been a flop atm. Lot of time for them to settle tho while the oldies grind the results.

To think Rodgers would of sold Levia two weeks ago lol, need our Lucas from a few years back to come and save us.

Lucas was really good in those 2 games, I hope Rodgers keep on playing him in that role and when he needs to be rested, play Allen there.
