Top 10 2014 No particular order (only films that I have seen so far)

Gone Girl
Fury
Interstellar
Nightcrawler
Guardians of the Galaxy
Boyhood
Edge of Tomorrow
X-Men Days of Future Past
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Captain America: Winter Soldier

I still haven't seen some that probably would be on there like Whiplash or The Hobbit or the Imitation Game or Inherent Vice or Birdman etc.

And I may have also forgotten some. Foxcatcher barely missed out. I also enjoyed Predestination and Nonstop plenty so honorable mention there.

1 – Nightcrawler
2 –Gone Girl
3 –Guardians of the Galaxy
4 – Dawn of Apes
5 – X-men DOFP
6 – The Raid 2
7 – Life Itself
8 – Starred Up
9 – Edge of Tomorrow
10 – Lego Movie

Hard to rate any of them, it could chance at any moment, depending on a mood.

Honorable mentions: Snowpiercer, HTTYD 2, 22 Jump Street, Fury, This is Where I Leave You, Chef, Coherence.

Pretty much my list.

Worst 3:
1 – TMNT... Worst piece of crap I've seen in a long time. Megan 'facemelt' Fox is annoying as shit.
2 – Dumb and Dumber To... When the title of this movie makes the movie sound smarter than it is... that pisses me off.
3 – Under the Skin... so mind numbingly boring

Dishonorable mentions – Ride Along, About Last Night, Grand Budapest Hotel, Amazing Spider-man 2.

Still missing Foxcatcher, Whiplash, Birdman, Selma, American Sniper which all probably has a chance to make my top 10 from What I've read.

Top 10 movies of 2014. Damn this is going to be a bit hard because there wasn't that many good movies. I'll give it a try though.

1) Nightcrawler
2) Guardians of The Galaxy
3) Gone Girl
4) The Equalizer
5) Edge Of Tomorrow
6) Robocop
7) TMNT
8 ) Dawn Of The Planet of the apes
9) Captain America

Still need to watch Fury and Interstellar, so my list will most likely change. Only can name 9 right now because quite frankly, some movies were so poor they don't deserve to be on the list, no matter how far low they ended up.

Seen almost 100 movies from 2014 I think Laughing It's in top 20 with Boyhood hmm

El Gunner, pls go what? Dislike Wes Anderson very much. I can't see the appeal in his films at all. I respect people liking his films, but I don't find them one bit interesting. Moonrise Kingdom was something different, every other film is meh.

interstellar aint that good. Not in my top 10 either, eventhough my taste is largely offbeat and non appealing to the general mass, still theres Lego inside top 4. So... you know.. dont be that surprised seeing people evict it from their favs.

That's fine. I would imagine the people who likes his movies are the group of people interested in paintings. It looks like a bunch of beautiful paintings brought to life, and sure they look good. But the characters and overall story/plot isn't that interesting imo. But if you get enjoyment in the style of the movie that's fine by me.

Have you seen all his films ?? Painting part is true, but still the characters and plot of his films are quite interesting as well.

Yes ..Moonrise kingdom was beautiful, but even others such as Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, and above all the epic and his best work according to me Fantastic Mr. Fox are modern masterpieces with solid plot and interesting characters. Agreed they are not for everyone though.

I love every kind of film. Drive is an artfilm, and it's in my top 10 of all time together with Raging Bull and Taxi Driver. Really like Clockwork Orange and Eyes Wide Shut, There Will be Blood (almost anything PTA I love). Boyhood and the before films, Blue Ruin (forgot to add that to honorable mentions hmm ) Place beyond the pines, Blue Valentine.

Wes Anderson and Under The Skin has nothing on those films I listed, not even close. Under The Skin doesn't have anything interesting at all (beside boobs). Wes Anderson just annoys me overall.

But yeah, I amaze you because I'm not trying to be a pretentious prick and stating my personal opinion? hmm

I rate Dawn of the Planet of the Apes higher than Interstellar on purely its story and presentation. Interstellar for me was a wet cracker which never really took off and reached its massive potential. At least DPA stayed true to its cause and delivered a solid story.

cheers  Drive!! Taxi Driver is my all time favorite film. Proud

silent for me UTS was a classic. It slowly builds and never really leaves its grip. The background score and the direction were breathtaking, along with its cinematography. Its not about the overall film when you talk about Under the skin, its the small pieces, the minute details.
You do know those scenes where she picks up guys wasnt really staged right?? They were real guys who didnt know it was a film. The director and camera crew shot the scene from the backseat of the van unnoticingly which Scarlett drove. There and tiny bits and pieces like that which will amaze the viewers. For me its one of the finest films of the past year. Sure the fim was slow in pace, but that only adds to the films class IMO. Glazer can become Kubrick's heir and this film will be talked about in the future as a masterpiece.

Also PTA is one my favorites as well. Thumbs up

Taxi Driver is GOAT, wrote my final high school exam on it, 2 weeks well spent Proud

Also I'm Danish, 2 og our most famous directors are art filmakers Refn and Von Trier. We also invented dogme 95. Would be insane for me not to love art films. Which I do.

Yeah I've read all that about the film (UTS), It's just hard for me to appreciate any film of any genre if I'm not gripped in any way. There was great symbolism and visuals, also some daring ideas. It wasn't as interesting as I wanted it to be. I felt bored out of my mind.

@Lumiere, yeah I love him. Heard mixed things of Inherent Vice though. Can't wait either way, must be some wack shit Laughing Proud

You pos I love you.

Wes Anderson's style is really fun and smart and unique for me. His "paintings" bring out the little inner child in me.

Drive Proud I would like to think Ryan Gosling's character in that film defines me as a person.

So watched Coherence Shocked WOW what a great effing movie. Freeza you beaut I only watched it because it was on your list, but what a movie. Non of the actors are well known which adds to the real life feel to it (even though it's sci-fi and from reality Laughing )

9/10. Recommend it to all the sci-fi lovers. Thrilling, exhilarating, entertaining
